Hybrid Hands-on Courses

Hands-on courses include clinical immersion at the Nepuga/FAPUGA teaching clinics, lasting 1 to 3 days depending on the course chosen. Students also get theory and practice support material through the Study Portal.

The course's theory content is available on the Study Portal through distance learning (EAD), with video classes divided into modules, activities and support materials such as slides and ebooks.

Hands-on classes, which we call clinical immersion, preferably take place at Nepuga/Fapuga teaching clinics across Brazil, by appointment and subject to predetermined spot availability.

Clinical immersion at partner campuses takes place once a minimum quorum of 80% of capacity is reached, with 30 days' notice.

The clinical immersion hours are completed in person at Nepuga/Fapuga units and/or partner campuses, using models as patients under the supervision of professors, preceptors and technical managers.

Access to the theory content of each hands-on course lasts 365 days. Days are counted from the moment portal access is made available, even if the student does not start watching classes right away.

Once the term of the purchased course ends, access expires and no extension is granted.

Health students from the 7th semester onward can take the University Extension and/or Advanced Training hands-on course during their undergraduate studies as an extra or complementary activity.

The digital certificate is a document valid throughout Brazil, with a verification QR code, that proves the professional's qualification. After you finish the course, the digital certificate becomes available automatically in the Student Portal for download.

Certificates are issued by FAPUGA (Faculdade Ana Carolina Puga), accredited by Brazil's MEC (Ministry of Education), the higher education institution (IES) that runs Nepuga (Núcleo de Especialização Ana Carolina Puga).

Certificates for Nepuga's hands-on courses fall under University Extension (up to 179 hours) and University Advanced Training (180 to 359 hours), valid both in the professional market and as complementary activity in undergraduate and postgraduate programs (lato sensu specialization, master's and doctorate), in accordance with MEC regulations.

If you withdraw within 7 (seven) days after the payment date of the first enrollment installment, you receive a 100% refund (full amount).
