Back when she was doing her nursing internship, Dr. Isabella Luz says she did not identify with the position – after all, she saw many exhausted and stressed professionals, “very emotionally ill,” as she puts it. Despite her interest in health, the situation she found was discouraging. With the goal of establishing herself in the aesthetics market and offering personalized care, Dr. Isabella began her journey in search of new opportunities.
At the end of her degree, she had no enthusiasm at all about the possibility of working in hospital settings. She was then working with her mother, who has a psychology clinic, and stayed in that job for a while, until the opportunity came up to take an eyebrow micropigmentation course, and on that occasion she discovered a new universe.
In the world of beauty, with the aim of providing well-being through an aesthetic change, Isabella found a strong connection, which encouraged her to learn more about advanced aesthetics and the postgraduate options that fit her nursing training.
At the time, Dr. Isabella says she was afraid she would not be able to establish herself satisfactorily in the advanced aesthetics market, such a competitive market. But that fear faded as she grew during the postgraduate program.
“A phrase I carry with me is that success is trainable”
Throughout the course, she says every study topic, every procedure, and every practice session contributed to developing a capable and confident professional.
“I came in with a lot of fears, but there I saw that everything is possible as long as we make an effort and dedicate ourselves. So a phrase I carry with me is that success is trainable. We need to practice, learn, and go after what we want. And when we do that, the path to success is almost certain”, says the aesthetic nurse.
Once she was qualified, the new challenge was to be seen by people and to find patients. On this, Dr. Isabella did not deny that at first it can be difficult, “but it is not impossible,” she recalls. For her, the key is constant persistence and promotion, since the demand for procedures is high.
Currently, she sublets a space to see her patients, and she reports that finding patients has been a positive experience. To do this, she had to go beyond the focus on aesthetics training and also study entrepreneurship and marketing.
On her Instagram profile, you can see a bit of the promotional work she is committed to. On it, she is always showing her daily appointments, sharing information about aesthetics and the procedures available in her space, and also showing results on her real patients, and occasional feedback.
The focus of work at her clinic today is facial aesthetics, mainly fillers and botulinum toxin.
Dr. Isabella Luz is very realistic about the challenges of establishing yourself in the aesthetics market, especially as an entrepreneur. She understands that just because the market is promising does not mean things will be easy, but it is an effort that pays off.

“She always supported me, always pushed me, motivated me on this journey and, of course, since I already worked with her, I already had some knowledge there, I understood a little how entrepreneurship worked, so that contributed a lot to my professional growth.”
Both experience and encouragement to seek your own development are therefore fundamental in Dr. Isabella's career, and part of everything she has been building.

“My mother has always been a woman who took risks, who put herself out there, so I got that from her. I believe that to achieve big results, to achieve big things, it is necessary to take risks and step out of our comfort zone.”
