Class 472 of the Aesthetics Postgraduate Program Begins Classes

Nepuga/FAPUGA offered admission to just over 200 healthcare professionals for class 472 of the aesthetics postgraduate programthrough its monthly enrollment program.

With these students admitted, the new class trains the aesthetic professionals of the future and reflects an increase in demand compared with the same period last year.

With growth of more than 90% compared with the equivalent class in September 2020, it is clear that Brazil as a whole continues to advance its position in the aesthetics market.

From 2014 to 2019, this market grew 567% in Brazil.

Over those 5 years, the number of professionals in the field rose from 72,000 to more than 480,000, according to data from ABIHPEC (Brazilian association of the personal hygiene, perfume and cosmetics industry). And a large share of aesthetic professionals were trained at Nepuga/FAPUGA: about 52,000 hold certificates bearing the institution's (IES) quality seal.

Student admission in aesthetics

Based on projections, 14.7% of new students received 35% scholarships and 4.3% of enrollees received 40% scholarships, based on their needs. This way, more professionals can gain access to the aesthetics postgraduate program.

“Nepuga/FAPUGA has always worked with the mission of welcoming students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, so promoting scholarships and flexible payment terms is part of our character, with the purpose of driving life transformation for these students”, says Ana Paula M., who heads the institution's enrollment department.

Through countless testimonials, we have seen that nurses, biomedical professionals, pharmacists, biologists and other healthcare professionals have stressful routines.

“They are exhausting hours of work, in a heavy environment and, worst of all, constantly exposed to COVID. With the pandemic these discomforts became even more evident, and moving into aesthetic health was the best option,” she adds.

The motivation behind the aesthetics postgraduate program

According to manager Ana Paula, the professionals entering the postgraduate program in 2021 share a common motivation.

“Professionals are moving into aesthetic health motivated by a more enjoyable routine, setting their own schedule, working with procedures that raise the patient's self-esteem and earning an extremely satisfying financial return. Today everyone has access to information about the aesthetics market and knows it brings personal and professional satisfaction”, she explains.

The first class admitted in September 2021 took part in the live inaugural class last Saturday, 09/11/21, in the morning.

Students entering the aesthetics postgraduate program come from most states, in various regions of Brazil, such as São Paulo, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Pará, Espírito Santo, Goiânia and Amazonas.

To meet demand in every region of the country, the remaining campuses have been opened gradually.

Who can take the aesthetics postgraduate program

The profile of healthcare professionals seeking the aesthetics postgraduate program is varied. Although most are women, there is also a percentage of men, for example.

By state, most are in São Paulo, but classes are also opening every day in other regions. All of this was shown in a study we conducted.

You can even read the stories of the professionals featured there. For example, Dr. Cássia do Carmo, who lives in São Carlos (SP). She worked as a nurse for more than 20 years but found herself in aesthetics:

“I had to take time away from my job, and during that period I found quality of life. I decided to take the postgraduate program in aesthetic nursing to work with injectables, and now I've had my own clinic for 1 year.”

Inspiring, isn't it? And this aesthetics postgraduate program can be yours too!
