The Story of Aesthetic Nurse Dr. Beatriz Mees Botion is one we are very proud to tell. Recently, her aesthetics clinic, Renove Enfermagem Estética, received the Top of Mind Brasil Quality award for the work provided in the city of Balneário Barra do Sul – SC.
But before reaching the point of winning this award, Dr. Beatriz's journey also had some challenges; however, with a large dose of determination and focus, she managed to trade the lack of time and the exhausting, undervalued shifts at the drugstore where she worked for freedom and autonomy, working with something she loves and that had long been a desire of hers.
Aesthetic Nurse traded shifts and an exhausting work routine for more professional freedom
“For two years, right after I graduated in nursing, I worked for a while at a pharmacy and it was very tiring, with no weekends or holidays. I didn't want that life. In Aesthetic Nursing I found myself; I was discouraged when I decided to take my first botulinum toxin course and I liked it so much that at that moment I decided I would start my Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Nursing”, says Dr. Beatriz.
Right at the start, it was important to share what she had learned with her network of contacts. Living in a small town in Santa Catarina, Dr. Beatriz hardly knew at that moment that she would become the reference in Facial Harmonization in the city and region.
Aesthetic Nurse left prepared to see her patients
“I left the classes feeling very confident and started by seeing people I knew. As they saw that I was taking courses and entering this field, I began to feel demand from patients who wanted botulinum toxin”, she explains.
Besides the botulinum toxin course, Dr. Beatriz also took the PEIM (microvessels) course and offered the two most sought-after procedures in aesthetics to patients who wanted to eliminate small leg veins and have facial harmonization.
After six months of seeing patients, she decided she needed her own space
And from her first appointments to her own space, set up just as she had always planned, it did not take long. “I spent six months seeing patients in a space at a Beauty Salon, but soon I felt the need to move to an office of my own.”
The Aesthetic Nurse's dream of starting her own business wasn't stopped even by the pandemic. “In July 2020, when many people were at a standstill, not working, I didn't stand still for even a week, and I was building my office”, she says.
The Top Of Mind Brasil award came to consolidate certainties
Today, Dr. Beatriz's Renove clinic has won the TOP OF MIND BRASIL award in Quality, in the city of Balneário Barra do Sul – SC, bringing even more pride and certainty about the work she does with Aesthetic Nursing.
“My future plans are to practice Aesthetic Nursing in the USA. I plan to move in 2023. Abroad, Aesthetic Nurses are even more valued than here in Brazil, and I see opportunities to practice there that sparked this desire in me”, she explains.
Currently, Dr. Beatriz sees patients only in her office and has achieved all the change and success she hoped for as an Aesthetic Nurse.
