Zélia Soares, an aesthetician and biomedical professional, has always been passionate about aesthetics, but she faced constant frustration when she realized that, despite her experience, she could not perform advanced procedures.
With nearly three decades of experience, Zélia has followed the evolution of aesthetics in Brazil since its first steps in the late 1990s. And even though she was one of the pioneers, she felt the need to expand her skills and pursue a specialization to offer what she had always dreamed of: complete, advanced aesthetics, with safety for her patients.
Zélia started early in the aesthetics world. Since the age of 18, when she took her first technical course, she realized that taking care of aesthetics went far beyond appearance: it was also a process of inner transformation.
Aesthetics helped her overcome her own insecurities and self-esteem challenges, which stemmed from skin issues and being overweight in childhood and adolescence. Back then, she could not have imagined that one day she would become a professional who helps others face those same insecurities. “Aesthetics brought me love for myself,” Zélia recalls, explaining how the profession gave her the chance to see the beauty she already had.
Still, Zélia always wanted more. Aesthetics, as she first knew it, offered limited resources for working at deeper, more transformative levels. Without the qualification for advanced procedures, she felt she could not give her patients the range of results she wanted.

Qualification is not enough: Even after graduating in Biomedicine with a qualification in aesthetics, in 2024, she still did not feel fully prepared. Zélia believed that, to work with injectables and other advanced procedures, she needed not only the qualification but also deeper technical training that would ensure safety and excellence. That concern for her clients' well-being and self-esteem drove her to seek a rigorous, complete specialization.
That decision marks the turning point in Zélia's career. When she began the postgraduate program in Aesthetic Biomedicine, she realized she was finally fulfilling a long-held dream. “Today, doing this specialization, is very emotional. It's as if I achieved everything I've been seeking all these years in aesthetics,” she shares.
Experiences that build confidence: Hands-on experience, combined with the support of specialists and the security provided by the team, gave her a new perspective on her ability to work at a more advanced level. Feeling supported, Zélia sees this moment as the peak of her journey in aesthetics so far, a true turning point in her professional life.
During the course, she discovered new techniques and approaches that allowed her to explore more effective methods for the rejuvenation and improvement of her patients' appearance and health.
And, beyond technique, Zélia mentions the importance of the support and warm welcome she received from her team and mentors, a strength that encouraged her to go even further. “The warmth of Nepuga, of Dr. Ana, the daily practice, being able to work with specialists watching over me… That seriousness of the team gave me a lot of confidence,” she says, highlighting the support that was crucial to her growth.
For Zélia, the future now seems full of possibilities. She already has her own clinic, a space where she has always offered treatments with the utmost care and attention. But now her vision has expanded: she wants to add injectables and advanced procedures to her list of services, always with a commitment to promoting health, quality of life, and well-being.
“I want to be able to advance further as a professional, working with balance to offer the best to my patients,” she emphasizes. Zélia's new phase represents not only progress in her career, but also a symbol of how aesthetics can be a path to self-fulfillment and transformation.
