Dr. Bárbara Dornellas is from the small city of Mariana in Minas Gerais. Pursuing the dream of becoming a Biomedical Professional, she moved to Belo Horizonte, where she graduated from Universidade FUMEC. During her degree she did several internships in clinical analysis, but it was in aesthetics that Dr. Bárbara found her true passion.
The alumna, who already lived in Belo Horizonte, decided to look for Nepuga/FAPUGA in BH and there she was able to develop all her talent during the Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Biomedicine. After graduating, she took the path of most Nepuga graduates: she opened her own clinic, Bárbara Dornellas Biomedicina Estética.
She started modestly, offering a few aesthetic procedures and gradually grew. Always attentive to market news, Dr. Bárbara specialized in new procedures and techniques and expanded her range of procedures. Her effort bore fruit, and in 2016 she was voted the best aesthetic biomedical professional in Mariana, when she received the Troféu Empresarial dos Inconfidentes (Inconfidentes Business Trophy).
Besides aesthetic biomedicine, the native of Minas Gerais still finds time to enjoy another passion, cycling; Dr. Bárbara is a cyclist and takes part in marathons like the Iron Biker Brasil. Today she collects victories in both aesthetics and cycling, thanks to her vision and dedication to establishing herself in the aesthetics market.
The aesthetic biomedical professional explains a bit about how her appointments at the clinic work:
“During the consultation I assess all complaints and map out strategies to deliver the best results for that particular complaint. Sometimes just one session of a given procedure can address that complaint; in other cases it is necessary to use different procedures and techniques, which can be done in the same session or on different days”.
