Aesthetic Postgraduate Program Standouts Honored with the 2022 Academic Excellence Award

The two stories we are about to tell are about two people who devoted body and soul to the postgraduate program in aesthetics. As a result of all their commitment and determination in the course, the two professionals, Livia Selani, an aesthetic nurse, and Emeli Bail, a postgraduate in Aesthetic Health, are program standouts and add luster to Nepuga's list of award winners.

Although they took different postgraduate programs, the stories have many similarities; after all, winners often mirror one another, and this is one more such case.

“I was sure I was on the right path”

Aesthetic nurse Livia Selani won the Academic Highlight Award for Specialization. Livia is among the best aesthetic nurses in the course and told our team what this period of great learning and exchange of experiences was like.

When we decide to start new projects in our lives, it is extremely important that we do so on solid ground and with the certainty that we have chosen the best options for our path. For Lívia, this “mantra” is firmly fixed in her mind.

Before choosing which institution to join for her postgraduate program in aesthetics, she tells us she did extensive research to make the best choice. When she came across Nepuga, she had no doubt that this would be her “new home” to chart this new phase of her life.

She says that the fact that Nepuga is recognized by the MEC (Brazil's Ministry of Education), along with its high-quality curriculum, caught her attention, and she was sure what her decision would be.

“When I decided to do the specialization in aesthetics, I started looking for where I would take the course, what content I wanted and whether it was recognized by the MEC. After evaluating, I chose Nepuga for offering the best curriculum and the ideal time for the hands-on practice”.

The Aesthetic Nursing specialization at Nepuga has 480 hours of classes spread over 11 months, with 12 outpatient clinical immersions.

Constant Growth and Professional Qualification

Dedication to her studies was her foundation. For Lívia, success in this new project in her life would only be complete with a lot of perseverance and dedication. Upon engaging with the content offered, the aesthetic nurse says she felt confident and happy with her choice.

“With each module I studied, I was happier with my choice. I was sure I was on the right path”.

As we mentioned, dedication to the content was the way Lívia found to get the most out of the classes and clinical immersions. At the same time, Lívia kept studying and taking open courses to gain more experience and professional qualification.

“During the specialization I also took a few open courses where I improved my skills, looking for new developments and deciding which path I would follow after the postgraduate program“.

Aware that she made the best choice for her life, today she works for her patients' well-being with special care for each one of them.

“Lívia is now someone who is certain that in this field of aesthetics we must exercise great caution and plenty of study, following our path while prioritizing health and beauty, above all with harmony, without exaggeration, instead enhancing the beauty that already exists within each person. Raising self-esteem is very rewarding, and helping people through treatment to heal a pain is an incomparable feeling. I am happy to be able to give my patients a better quality of life”.

Dedication to Becoming One of the Program's Standouts

Aesthetics specialist Emeli Bail, like nurse Lívia Selani, was also one of the standouts in her class. A postgraduate in Aesthetic Health, Emeli had the same focus on her studies. Her commitment to the specialization earned her recognition as one of the best graduates.

Emeli emphasizes that during classes she did the impossible to absorb as much content as possible, with notes and participation, especially in the clinical immersions, a factor she points to as a key differentiator.

Also determined about the path she would follow, she says Ozone Therapy was what attracted her most and that to this day she continues to improve and specialize to offer the best care to her patients.

“I learned a lot during classes, especially in the clinical immersions. I always took advantage and took part in as many procedures as I could. During the postgraduate program I had already defined the area I most wanted to work in, which was Ozone Therapy. I keep studying, updating myself and discovering new techniques to this day”.

To get the most out of her participation in classes, she reveals that she took as many notes as possible and that over the following days she spent time researching techniques.

“My study routine was based mostly on the live classes. I took lots of notes and during the week I went after new techniques or practical applications”.

“I keep improving. I always offer my best.”

It doesn't take much to understand how important dedication to her training and qualification as a professional was to Emeli.

Emeli is the embodiment of how giving yourself fully to a project in life leads to great achievements and accomplishments.

Today Emeli works in aesthetics, still part-time, but already has plans to devote 100% of her time to Aesthetic Health. And some might think that after graduating, the drive to seek new qualifications would end. But for a winner of the 2022 Academic Excellence Award, that step was only the first.

Emeli understands that to offer quality, personalized care it is necessary to always stay alert to new trends.

“Today I have my own income; I don't work “full time” yet, but I'm aiming for that in my future. I keep studying and refining my techniques, because to me my patients will always be someone's love, so I always offer my best“.

We know that tomorrow cannot be predicted, but being prepared to face new challenges is essential to draw the best experience from every situation.
