At 27, Vitor had already built a solid career as a pediatric nurse. Used to the intense routine of hospital work, with 24-hour shifts followed by 72 hours off, he had always devoted himself to his profession with seriousness and commitment. However, it was thanks to an unexpected invitation that he found himself facing a new possibility: from the hospital to aesthetics.
The idea came from a friend, who invited him to take the postgraduate program at Nepuga. At first, Vitor wasn't thinking of going down that path.
The encouragement to move from the hospital to aesthetics
To him, aesthetics was something far removed from traditional nursing. But after hearing his friend's arguments – about how promising and independent this new field was, and yet fully connected to the health field – he began to see it differently. “She said: ‘I'm going to do it, let's go together,’ and we encourage each other”, he recalls with a smile.
The encouragement, combined with curiosity and a desire to grow, was enough for him to embark on this new journey. And what he found at Nepuga was far more than he expected.
“It's not tedious content, it's on point, it says exactly what we need to know”
From the very first online classes, Vitor was surprised by the course's teaching approach. The content, besides being comprehensive, was objective and direct, designed especially for people who, like him, already work in healthcare and have a busy routine. “It's not tedious content, it's on point, it says exactly what we need to know”, he explains.

This hands-on approach allowed him to balance his studies with his shifts and still stay focused on what really mattered: building a new career possibility.
But the big difference came with the in-person practical classes. While the first theory classes focused on anatomy – essential for anyone who will work in aesthetics, but not always the most exciting part – everything changed when the time for real practice arrived.
“We got super excited because it's hands-on, seeing patients, applying, doing…”, he says. The practical experience, with close guidance from the instructors and direct contact with real patients, brought not only technical learning but also confidence to work in the market.
