25 years ago, Aesthetic Nurse Dr. Rejane Favarin, from Porto Alegre – RS, traded the Military Police uniform for syringes and hospital shifts.
Close to retirement, she wants to raise her profile in Aesthetic Nursing, and also promote Ozone Therapy.
“Since the day I started, I've had a different mindset,” she said. “Practice brings that euphoria, but even though I'm at a stage where I don't need to do anything else, I need this experience,” she stated.
Find out how Dr. Rejane became an Aesthetic Nurse and transformed her career in this success story.
Aesthetic Nurse and her big change
Before being an Aesthetic Nurse, Dr. Rejane worked in completely opposite professions, which had one thing in common: caring for people.
Back then, the discovery of her first professional love, nursing, happened in an unusual way. “I was a Military Police officer,” she said. “I always wanted to take care of people and not criminals,” the nurse said.
Never stopping
The fire in her eyes is still burning after 25 years of career. Dr. Rejane, although about to retire, doesn't plan to put away her lab coat. “The nurse's role is for life,” she said.
That is because she discovered that Aesthetic Nursing can secure greater relevance in a promising field.
“That was when I made the connection with aesthetics, which is my pet passion,” she said. “Self-care and the relationship between patient and nurse are part of my life,” she said.
Dr. Floripes
Dr. Floripes Antônia also followed the same path. She retired after 20 years of career, but became a reference in Aesthetic Nursing.
“I have room to grow. I already have the clinic practically set up,” said Dr. Floripes.
Aesthetic Nurse: A bigger field of work
Since becoming an Aesthetic Nurse, Dr. Rejane decided to create her own opportunities to become ever bigger in the aesthetics job market.
In her first change, she wants to leave behind the long hospital shifts, which pay lower salaries than expected.
Instead of doubling her hours and earning less, she can earn double the financial return and set her own hours, with a lighter or fuller schedule, as she prefers. “I don't want to work fixed hours and night shifts anymore,” she said.
With her target audience already defined, which is women, the nurse wants to offer current procedures that deliver incredible results through Aesthetic Nursing.
“It's satisfying to see the aesthetic improvements I can give them,” she said. “In whatever aspect. Facial or body,” she stated.
Dr. Rejane and Ozone Therapy
Besides aesthetics, Dr. Rejane also has big professional plans with Ozone Therapy, which is the application of ozone to the body for aesthetic purposes and as a complement to treatments.
The nurse, who has fibromyalgia, and her family could benefit from the ozone technique. In addition, she also wants to enter this segment. “My parents are oncology patients,” she said. “Combined with the patient's pain, introducing ozone only adds to a good future for them, without pain and with a better quality of life, even in the midst of a serious illness,” she said.
Plans for the future
The Aesthetic Nurse wants to invest in the aesthetics job market and further boost Ozone Therapy. “It's a project I'm dreaming about. If I can bring ozone into these patients' lives and bring these benefits, I'll be happy,” she said.
As an Aesthetic Nurse, she also intends to reach high levels of business in the field. “It's a new venture and I'm going to be very successful at it,” said Dr. Rejane.
