And in the Influencer's Choice category: #PugaFollowers, one of the winners is a very authentic aesthetic nurse with a strong presence on social media, Dr. Eder Júlio Almeida.
Besides being a nurse, Eder also holds a master's degree in health technologies, and is a specialist in urgent care and emergency, nephrology, patient safety and quality, specialties added to a great deal of experience as a clinical-hospital nurse. But all this dedication builds an overflowing professional. In his own words, it was time to “spread new wings”.
The decision for aesthetic specialization
With 16 years working as a nurse in the hospital setting, Eder felt a sense of duty fulfilled; he understood that he had already contributed enough on that front.
Eder's biggest motivation for turning to aesthetics was the need to innovate and start his own business. He also says he identified the field as a possibility for his career because he had the chance to work as a hairdresser, and felt very good about the results he was able to deliver; his eyes lit up at the experience of transforming people through aesthetics.
He says: “Since I served women as a hairdresser, I started routinely witnessing the transformations of people close to me through aesthetic procedures and my eyes lit up.”
So he did the Aesthetic Specialization, through the Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Nursing and the MasterClass Puga Code, courses that changed Eder's career for good. Adding these specialties to all his time and the quality of his experience in nursing, he is now able to spread the new wings he so wanted for his own career.
Today, he is building his business in his own space, something he considers very important in aesthetic practice, given the prospect of serving his patients in a personalized way, giving much more complete attention to each one's needs.
He says more about this: “Having our own space allows us to personalize our service from the moment of first contact with our client through a very well-structured after-sales, so that the client never feels alone.”
And you can see all his dedication well beyond his own words, in the projects he is engaged in, and even in the joy with which he responded to us when he received the news that he was among those chosen for the Academic Excellence Award 2022.
It is no coincidence that Dr. Eder Júlio was chosen in the “Influencer's Choice” category, since he is always committed to inspiring others by showing his achievements, projects and studies on his Instagram profile.
Among the highlights, for example, are stories about the creation of an app to help hearing-impaired people get medical and hospital assistance, the result of the master's research carried out by Eder.
He is also a technical reference at the continuing education unit of the Belo Horizonte city government, and a professor and coordinator of the nursing program at some universities in the capital of Minas Gerais. A multifaceted professional, able to inspire with his brilliance both on and off social media.
Now, he has been bringing his experience, innovation and sensitivity to aesthetics, because he realizes the power he has in his hands to transform people's lives in this field too, delivering a change that comes from the outside in, something that is only possible when you feel comfortable in your own skin.
As he says about his own experience: “I have several accounts from patients who started going out more, smiling more, socializing and even coming out of depression. That is what gives us the strength to start our own business, knowing that our care creates value in people's lives!”.
One could try to sum up, listing the reasons why Dr. Eder is being recognized among the best to come through Nepuga, but all this is just a sample of everything he represents and a sincere tribute to his achievements.
