The decision to enroll in a specialization in advanced aesthetics came strategically. Even before finishing her degree, Flaviane began a postgraduate program in the field, which allowed a more effective combination of the knowledge gained at university and the practice of aesthetic health.
“At first, my idea is to combine them. Because I really like aesthetics, and I also really like what I do in the lab, so I'm going to try to reconcile the two”, the biomedical professional says about her next steps.
For Flaviane, Aesthetic Biomedicine not only expanded her technical skills but also brought her professional prospects that once seemed out of reach.
Expanding Opportunities Through a Specialization in Advanced Aesthetics
Currently working in a hospital lab on a CLT contract (formal employment in Brazil), she realized that aesthetic health offers not only schedule freedom but also greater financial possibilities. In her town, where pay for CLT biomedical professionals is limited, working in aesthetics proved to be an opportunity for growth and stability.
Another factor that caught Dr. Flaviane's attention was the impact of aesthetics on patients' quality of life. For her, it's not only about improving appearance, but about promoting overall well-being.
Higher self-esteem, personal satisfaction and improved mood in patients are fundamental aspects that motivate her to keep studying and improving.
“And seeing how the patient reacts as a whole is more rewarding than the result of the procedure on their appearance. Seeing how good the patient feels about themselves after that is very rewarding, seeing the change in the patient's quality of life as a whole,” she says.
Currently, Flaviane seeks to balance her work in the lab with practice in aesthetics. Aware of the importance of hands-on experience, she plans to start working at aesthetics clinics in her town to refine her techniques. She also understands that, to stand out in a competitive market, it is essential to have a differentiator and to offer services that truly meet the needs the public is looking for.
More than personal and professional growth, Flaviane has a bigger goal: to bring aesthetics and health to people who, like her, once believed that this type of specialization was not for them.
Her dream is to create a multidisciplinary space where aesthetics is approached in an integrated way with other health fields, promoting patients' complete well-being.
