Dr. Cátia Dameda Splits Her Time Between Mathematics, Aesthetics, and Ozone Therapy

The desire to work in aesthetics is usually present in the lives of those who have loved it forever. Whether in childhood play or in a liking for taking care of oneself and others, it was always there. Today there is a trend linking Aesthetics and Ozone Therapy.

The problem is when you can't go after your dream because of interference from other people. And those people can even be family.

In this Success Story you will get to know the story of Dr. Cátia Dameda, a businesswoman and postgraduate student in Ozone Therapy, who went through the situation of postponing her dream because of family interference, ended up graduating in something totally opposite, but managed to enter aesthetics and have her own clinic years later.

Aesthetics: better late than never

The dream of working in Aesthetics had always lived in Dr. Cátia. However, when she decided to get a degree, her husband did not agree with her entering that field.

“My husband didn't want it; he said the field of education was more respected and valued, and that ended up influencing me to graduate in mathematics and set aesthetics aside”, she explains.

That is why, in 1999, Dr. Cátia Dameda graduated in mathematics without even thinking about that connection between Aesthetics and Ozone Therapy. Soon after, she specialized in mathematics education. In 2008, when she divorced her husband, she took back her dream of working with beauty and graduated in Aesthetics and Cosmetology.

Currently, Dr. Cátia teaches mathematics to elementary and high school classes part-time, since she learned to like that field too, but she also fulfilled her dream and splits her time working at her Clínica Dameda Podologia & Estética.

“Aesthetics is captivating! Every day we learn, and I believe it is a field any woman could pursue. It is fascinating to take care of people, bring them well-being, make them look beautiful, learn to care for women… I love it! I am a fulfilled woman with my professions, but I am getting organized to keep only the clinic.”

Postgraduate Program: Aesthetics and Ozone Therapy

The postgraduate student says that throughout her training and her whole career in aesthetic health, she has always sought innovation and tried to bring the best of her field to her clients. And it was at her clients' request that she decided to specialize in ozone therapy as well.

“My clients would arrive with the dermatologist's diagnosis already in hand for treatments with ozone therapy and laser. So I went looking for information and decided to seek a specialization in the field”, says Dr.

She says her experience in the postgraduate program has been incredible, since she is able to absorb content and knowledge that will set her work in the field apart. And with that focus: Aesthetics and Ozone Therapy!

“I am passionate about the postgraduate program in ozone therapy and I intend to pursue other targeted studies. My specialization is expected to be completed in July 2022”, she concludes.
