A pharmacist who owns her own business. That is the story of Dr. Amanda França!
Currently, she is arranging her second work partnership to practice at her aesthetics clinic, located in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, in the Campo Grande neighborhood. Not even she imagined that the leap in her professional life would be so big in just one year.
After years working behind the counter at a pharmacy chain, Dr. Amanda dreamed of the aesthetics market. “I felt like a bird trapped in a cage, I felt hurt for not having a career plan for me at the company, I learned and couldn't carry out what I learned inside the company, and I felt that in aesthetics everything was going to be different”, she says.
The steady job was the lifeline that allowed Dr. Amanda to pay for her specialization and, from there, a process of professional and personal life change began. That is how she became a pharmacist who owns her own business
“Last year, in the middle of the pandemic, I noticed that people were increasingly looking to take care of themselves, so I decided to invest in my business. People who stayed home working remotely began to look at themselves more, notice themselves more, and seek more aesthetic treatments, and that's why I decided it was time to have the courage to set up my business”, she says.
But don't think it was easy to stop working as a partner in other clinics to become a pharmacist who owns her own business. Dr. Amanda França says she needed a lot of dedication to studying entrepreneurship.
“First you get a scare, when you realize you'll have to fill your schedule every day, know exactly how much to charge for procedures, manage your business, on top of treating patients. But with the right dedication, today I see things flowing organically in my clinic and I'm very happy”, she says.
The pharmacist and business owner, from yesterday to tomorrow!
Nowadays the flagship services at her clinic are microvessel and Facial Harmonization procedures.
Responsible for thinking even about ways to attract more clients and retain them, Dr. Amanda França says that her projects for the future are all about growth.
“Today I have a secretary and another pharmacist joining as a partner; next year I want to hire more professionals and make it a multiprofessional space.”
