After 18 years of training, this nurse is now dedicated to building her own business in aesthetics, and 18 years can't be summed up in one line. Aline Piffer has a career in hospitals and teaching, and values every stage of her path so far:
“Every area I worked in built me up to get here and to have the knowledge to carry out my project of starting a business”, says the aesthetic nurse.
There is no single path to success. Each journey has its particularities, even though health professionals may have a lot in common. By reading to the end, you can learn about the uniqueness and similarities of Aline's career, and what made her interested in Aesthetic Health and in starting a business in the field.
Given the moment of opportunity that aesthetic health is experiencing, growing in Brazil, together with Aline's passion for caring for her patients' health, her interest in health and her desire to start an aesthetics business, she is making her dream come true, a dream that was carefully planned and studied.
Learn the details of this successful path
She says her wish to be useful in supporting and helping people recover began in 2000, the year she started her nursing degree. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Intensive Care.
Above all, the values she holds dear as a health professional are empathy and humanization. That is why she says she brings every patient all the care, zeal and wisdom she can offer, which is essential for starting a business in aesthetics.
Aline has worked in Central Sterile Supply Department (CME), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Surgical Center, and also as a university lecturer in Nursing and Anatomy of Organ Systems, Clinical Anatomy and Head and Neck Anatomy.
Teaching is one of her great passions: “Being able to share what I learned responsibly, making someone understand the importance of what they chose… there is no greater satisfaction. I am grateful for teaching in my life, because through it I learned as I taught every day.”
She intends to return to sharing her skills as a lecturer. To learn and to teach again through teaching, as she puts it, although her current dedication is focused on her own clinic. Learn more about the dream of starting an aesthetics business in this professional's life.
The desire to start an aesthetics business
Despite all the gratitude Aline holds for the experiences she has had on different fronts of her work as a nurse so far, she also says that work in hospitals, especially in ICUs, is unpredictable, and that the work routine wears you down physically and mentally, which is a common experience among health professionals.
By starting an aesthetics business, she seeks a change in her career in this regard, and on this she says: “I believe that in the daily routine of aesthetics I will gain in physical and emotional quality, besides optimizing my time to dedicate to my family and studies.”
Besides the wish for a more flexible routine, Aline was also drawn to aesthetic health because she was a patient of aesthetic procedures before specializing in the field, so there was this prior appreciation that became a vision of a career with more autonomy, in which she can offer beauty solutions. Plus, dealing with health not only through pathologies and illnesses, which is also something she wanted.
But she knew she needed to commit if she wanted to achieve what she aimed for: “bringing the science of beauty to clients requires study, dedication and passion, and I always had that”, and that is why she sought the Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Nursing.
“The Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Nursing taught me, guided me and supported me at every moment. It was fundamentally important in giving me certainty that my choice in the field was the right one.”
A good time to start an aesthetics business
Aline also gives us her view on the aesthetic health market in Brazil, mentioning that the country stands out greatly in this sector, and she is right about that.
According to Euromonitor, Brazil is the fourth largest aesthetics market in the world and, although the premium segment of the sector is not yet substantial in the country, it is also growing.

For the aesthetic nurse, another sign of how prominent the field is in Brazil is the number of healthcare degrees turning toward qualification in aesthetics, proof that there is demand and that health professionals are looking to meet it:
“It's no accident that several specialties are walking together in this new field. I believe there will always be room for excellent work.”
The opportunity to realize the dream of starting an aesthetics business
And it is in this context of opportunity, great dedication and passion for aesthetic health that Aline is realizing her dream of starting a business. She recently opened Questão de Pele Centro Estético Aline Paula, located in Madureira (RJ), and talks about her dream of starting an aesthetics business:
“From now on, I want to care for everyone I can see with knowledge, safety and humanization.”
Aline intends for her Aesthetic Center to be a reference in skin health, especially for people with darker skin phototypes, who, as Aline explains, require more study and special care, in addition to being an underserved specialty in the market.
She also wants to combine her love of teaching with her aesthetics specialty and be able to teach courses in the field, in addition to her desire to start an aesthetics business.
