To become an Aesthetic Biologist, Dr. Nathália faced many career challenges, especially at the beginning, a period when many professionals run into closed doors and discouragement.
It was no different for the biologist. Her wish was to work in marine biology, but her expectations sank when she found no opportunities. Even though she was disappointed, she did not give up on entering the job market in her field of training and kept going. Her persistence paid off.
She found an open door in her field, but as an environmental analyst. Although she had always loved biology, her path was no longer enough and happiness gave way to another kind of feeling.
“I gained experience as a biologist, but I was very disappointed in this field, for several reasons,” she said. “The issue of pay and professional recognition. That made me give up and lose heart,” she said.
Several Factors
Aesthetic Biology can provide greater professional and financial returns, unlike other areas of biology, which disappointed the Aesthetic Biologist. This was one of the reasons that fueled her thirst for a fresh start.
Dr. Nathália invested in one of the largest fields in the world, one that is promising, current and, most importantly, can provide professionals with a high quality of life. It is her new reality, in which she found a challenge, but this time without disappointments.
Despite having little familiarity with it, this was not a hindrance but a motivation to learn, study and grow. “The truth is, I didn't understand anything about aesthetics,” she said. “With the Resolution, the opportunity to change came up, along with the desire to specialize,” she said.
Entrepreneurship in Aesthetic Biology
The promising possibilities made the Aesthetic Biologist's eyes light up, especially with entrepreneurship in aesthetics.
This is because, according to Dr. Nathália, there is almost no possibility for biologists to start a business in their field. “My plan is to open a clinic. It is another challenge, since I never thought I would have my own business. I always had the idea of taking a civil service exam or being someone's employee,” she said. “Aesthetics brought the unique opportunity to create our own financial expectations,” she stated.
Dr. Nathália is not the only one who sees a greater chance of professional success because of Aesthetic Biology. Other biologists have also specialized to enter this market, such as Dr. Fernanda.
Aesthetic Biology and Prejudice
According to the Aesthetic Biologist, the recent entry of biologists into the aesthetics field ended up raising doubts about their practice among many professionals, who underestimate Aesthetic Biology.
“The biology profession needs to come together so we can gain more ground,” she said. “We need more biologists investing in this field, so that our profession becomes stronger and reaches a respectable level of professional recognition,” she stated.

Her specialization has guaranteed great professional prospects as an Aesthetic Biologist, who sees a complete transformation in her career. “I took a while to do my specialization. I thought about it for a year, but it is a very big challenge,” she said. “Through hands-on practice, I am able to gain skills that are worthwhile,” she stated.
