“The Autonomy We Have as an Aesthetic Biomedical Professional Is Wonderful”

Persevere! That is the keyword of Carla Daiane Guedes's story. She began her specialization in Aesthetic Biomedicine but had to stop for a while. Six years later she returned, and today she has her own clinic. Get to know the journey of this aesthetic biomedical professional.

The Biomedicine Degree

Carla is from Passos (MG) and chose the Biomedicine degree because she wanted to work in health care. After researching the profession, she decided she wanted to follow that path.

What she didn't know at that point was that at the end of her degree, a new possibility would emerge in the job market: Aesthetics.

So, after finishing her undergraduate degree, she soon enrolled in the Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Biomedicine.

The problem is that she started working at the same time and could no longer balance academic life with her career. The result could be nothing else: she had to put her dream of becoming an aesthetics specialist on hold.

During that time, which lasted 6 years, she got a pleasant surprise: pregnancy. Today her son is 5 years old, and that allowed her to see the opportunity for specialization again.

The Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Biomedicine

Starting a business and becoming a specialist in a subject are part of the dreams of many health professionals. And it happened to Carla too.

However, not everyone achieves success. For this aesthetic biomedical professional, it was possible thanks to perseverance.

According to the dictionary, to persevere is to persist, insist, be constant or continue. And that is everything Carla did to return to her old dream of aesthetics.

The ending of this story could be nothing else: the aesthetic biomedical professional is happy in her profession. First because she has more autonomy, and second because she sees her patients fulfilled.

The advantages of the Specialization in Aesthetics

Carla says that “the autonomy we have as an Aesthetic Biomedical Professional is wonderful”. This is one of the biggest differentiators of the aesthetics field.

In short, she explains: “Being able to set your own schedule and work for yourself is wonderful too. But delivering the benefit the client is looking for is something that is much better”.

She says there is nothing better than seeing a smile on her patients' faces. “It's satisfying to fulfill your client's wish. To do the treatment and get a good result for the complaint she had. For me, that is incredible”.

The entrepreneurial spirit

Like many Brazilians, the aesthetic biomedical professional also has an entrepreneurial spirit pulsing inside her. So she could not pass up this opportunity.

“I already set up my clinicSo nowadays I work in aesthetics, drawing on some of the experience I had before, which made things a lot easier for me”.

To those who are just starting to have this idea, she says that “starting a business is quite challenging”. And she continues: “It has all the challenges of opening your own company and starting something new in a city. So it's a big challenge, you have to go after it and always persist”

Is it worth specializing in aesthetics?

The aesthetic biomedical professional believes that, like any other profession, it isn't easy to start a business. “But it's something where, if you persist, you reach your goals”.

Specifically about aesthetics, she says that “it's an area that is in high demand today and it's the desire of many women and men who want to have procedures done. So it's a very good area”.

And she adds: “If aesthetics is what biomedicine professionals want, the field is worth it. Go for it, go after it, because there is financial returnBut beyond that, it's satisfying to see the client happy, the business grow, and to perform procedures with great results”.

Also read the story of Najara Maurício Reus. She is also an aesthetic biomedical professional and says that by working autonomously she earns a monthly income that is 10 times higher.

Choosing the educational institution

Carla said that choosing the Nepuga course was decisive for her career success. “As soon as I graduated, Nepuga was the first institution I heard about. So, because of its reputation, its history and its whole track record, I chose it”.

She adds: “Nepuga has all the requirements that every professional who wants to work in this field is looking for. It's a safe institution, with the stability to provide all the knowledge I need”.
