Financial return is only one of the advantages the aesthetic biomedical professional saw in the specialization. That's because her main starting point was something else: “I wanted to have more time with my family.” And she achieved that goal too.
The story you are about to read today is that of Danielle Cristina Rodrigues Isozaki. She is one of those people who insists on telling the story of her career, which went from an exhausting routine in a laboratory to the convenience of planning her own work schedule.
And there's more: “in aesthetics I work less and earn more.” See Isozaki's journey.
Academic background
Danielle Isozaki was a clinical analyst biomedical professional with a degree from Unifev (Centro Universitário de Votuporanga), in São Paulo. She is currently pursuing an MBA in trichology (hair therapy). And between her undergraduate degree and the MBA, she completed an Specialization Course in Aesthetic Biomedicine.
At the start of her career, she began working in an urgent and emergency lab. However, she saw that her time with her family was getting smaller and smaller. And that was not how she wanted to spend the rest of her life. So she decided to think of an alternative.
“At that time, I was working as an analyst biomedical professional and a friend talked a lot about the aesthetics field. I started researching courses. That's how I ended up entering the Postgraduate Program and fell in love with this work.”
The new world of aesthetics
The professional change in Isozaki's career was big, but spot-on. She knew what she wanted. “I chose the specialization because I was tired of the lab, the routine, and the sameness. I wanted new challenges, to work with health. I wanted to see my patients' happy little faces.”
The aesthetic biomedical professional also recalls that one of her last clinical jobs was at the Centro Paulista de Oncologia. There, she had a very stressful routine. “At that time I had nothing: Christmas, New Year's, holy days,” she recalls.
The change from clinical analysis to aesthetics was something wonderful in Danielle's life. “Especially because of my flexible schedule,” she says. And she explains: “in the lab, I was stuck, working Monday to Monday with a single day off a week.”
The new job market
In the Postgraduate Program, the aesthetic biomedical professional met Dr. Ana Carolina Puga. That relationship was important for her career. “When you meet Dr. Ana Carolina, you start to fall even more in love with aesthetics because she shows another reality.”
With the classes, the contact with Dr. Ana, and everything she learned, the clinical biomedical professional became an aesthetic biomedical professional. Along with the more flexible hours, something else happened, a feeling Isozaki had not felt until then: fulfillment!
“Now, I can say it's rewarding to finish a filler treatment and have the person look at you and cry with happiness. They say: you made my dream come true. That makes me happier and completely fulfilled in my field.”
The new professional achievements
Danielle's story is truly inspiring. So far we have seen that the career change brought her more time for her family and professional fulfillment. But there is still another benefit of the specialization to mention, which she mentions herself: profit.
“Financially, I got a lot of return. If before I worked a month to earn a certain amount, today I can make the same income with two days of work. So my financial life took a leap! Aesthetics is more lucrative: I work less and earn more.”
And she is not about to stop anytime soon. With her goals achieved, the aesthetic biomedical professional wants to spread her wings. “My plan is to put into practice everything I learned in the Postgraduate Program and in the other courses I took. Now, I want to work with a broader range in the health field.”
Aesthetics brings fulfillment
“Today, I can be there for my husband and my son. I make my schedule around my family and I have total autonomy in my professional life.” An autonomy that came with the profit and the fulfillment of performing an aesthetic procedure on patients.
For health professionals, here is a tip about this market that never stops growing, aesthetics. “When I took the course at Nepuga I felt very comfortable. Dr. Ana Carolina Puga is so inspiring. It's like a spark. A guide. She shows us that it works.”
The recommendation comes from someone who lived it not long ago, Danielle Isozaki: “Aesthetics is a profession that brings fulfillment. So whoever wants to enter the field has to do it body and soul.”
Other inspiring stories
Just like the story of aesthetic biomedical professional Danielle, there are others that also inspire. For example, Wanessa, a pharmacist who left the drugstore to change her life in aesthetics.
“I've been in this line of work since I graduated and I want to change, I want to start my own business, have my own practice, set my own hours, so I chose to learn more and dive into the aesthetics field”, says the aesthetic pharmacist.
