Nurse Suellen Cristina Teixeira dos Santos Padilha was even losing her love for nursing. But hybrid aesthetic nursing came along to change her life!

She says she never got to experience day-to-day life as a nurse when she graduated, because she became a mother during that period and needed to devote some time to her son, who is now 4 years old. Even so, the investment in a specialization in aesthetic nursing was already set to happen.

“I was losing my love for nursing, and I knew I had to do something to get back into the market. It was the hybrid teaching format that made it possible for me to take the specialization and build a professional life completely different from the one I expected to have,” says Dr. Suellen.

Passionate about hybrid aesthetic nursing, Dr. Suellen explains that the appeal has always been present in her life. “Every woman likes aesthetics to some degree, and caring for others made me passionate. I made new friends and I truly found myself,” she says.

Today the aesthetic nurse is already doing some home visits and is finalizing a work partnership with a friend from the specialization to see patients together at a clinic.

“Today I do my routine: this morning I saw a patient for microneedling, came back home, and got to see my son and my great-grandmother. I'm close by in case they need me, and that's what matters,” she explains.

The ease of coming and going and setting her own schedule is what proved most positive for Dr. Suellen about hybrid aesthetic nursing.

“Aesthetics came into my life to change everything for the better. I really was losing my love for nursing, until I went to specialize and study. Today I've been able to rebuild my routine. My mother-in-law helps me stay with my son at certain times of the day when I need to see patients, and I'm present with my family several times a day”, she explains.

Like any entrepreneur who grows gradually, Dr. Suellen is also making plans for the future in that direction, something that was possible thanks to hybrid aesthetic nursing.

“Next week I start seeing patients in a physical space together with a friend. Today I do facial and body aesthetics, and we're buying an ozone therapy device together too, because we noticed it's an area that has been growing a lot”, says the aesthetic nurse.

The Cássia Bento space, located in the Inhaúma neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, has everything it takes to grow, according to its founders. “I'm very proud of the many challenges I faced and everything I went through to get here”.
