Biomedical Professional Shares How She Found Healing Through Integrative Practices and Chose the Specialization in Naturopathy

One of the most engaged postgraduate students in this class of the Quantum Naturopathy specialization brings a very special story to the classroom: that of someone whose experience with her own health had a major impact on her professional choices.

Rayssa Nardia was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease when she was younger, and the doctors she saw at the time said she had little time left to live. In that context, which could have been one of hopelessness and resignation, changes in habits, diet, and other natural strategies made all the difference in improving her condition.

The health problems she faced and the bad experiences she had in hospital settings influenced her choice of biomedicine as an undergraduate degree. In her view, the more you know about anatomy, as well as pathogens, the better prepared you are to understand and manage your own health.

But of course, the decision to pursue a career in biomedicine was not motivated solely by awareness of her own health. Rayssa wanted to be able to help care for the health of others, and she says she had also always wanted to earn a degree in the health field.

Naturopathy came into her life because she always liked to look for alternatives in natural medicine, the most consistent source of positive results for her good health, which, by the way, has changed a lot, and no longer shows any sign of the autoimmune disease that once affected her so much.

Natural therapies integrated into lifestyle

It is not necessarily about one specific treatment; natural practices integrated into daily life help on different fronts.

Rayssa is very aware of this: the holistic therapist in training uses aromatherapy, different teas, and a controlled diet.

She especially mentions the use of teas during the menstrual period, which help a lot in managing symptoms such as cramps, for example.

In her words, speaking from her own experience: “Since I was very sickly, I suffered a lot in the hospital, so I believe that whatever I can do to make a person comfortable is better. And if there are natural ways to do that, even better, because in our conventional medicine we feel better by taking a headache pill, but it overloads your liver and your stomach.”

Microscopy is among the practices of the Postgraduate Program in Quantum Naturopathy

An integrative view of health

She also tells about an internship experience during her undergraduate studies: inside a regional hospital in Brasília, Rayssa actively contributed to a study using LED therapy to treat wounds in elderly diabetic patients, with great improvements in those cases.

Rayssa's mother also had a big influence on her vision and knowledge of Naturopathy. She is a working healthcare professional, as a nutritionist and naturopath. During her second degree, Rayssa says she followed her mother's studies closely, and even jokes that she is herself a naturopath without the diploma.

Goals after the specialization in Naturopathy

But Rayssa wanted the diploma, and much more than that, the experiences that come with truly in-depth study of Quantum Naturopathy.

Interviewed during the day devoted to the Radiesthesia immersion, the biomedical professional talked about how much she had been looking forward to the hands-on practice with pendulums and testing what she had only known in theory:

“Even though I have the aurimeter at home, I did not have the pendulum, so I kept wondering whether I would be able to do it. And here, now, especially in this last exercise, where we built the pyramid, asked a question, and I actually saw the pendulum working, it was surreal for me.”

Specialization in Naturopathy

She not only already has the aurimeter at home – a tool also used in Radiesthesia – but also has frequent contact with the therapies within Naturopathy. Together with her mother, she helps with nutrition treatments combined with Naturopathy.

So being able to help her mother even more, and consequently help even more people, is one of her biggest goals after her specialization in Naturopathy. She even mentions the future opportunity to perform procedures that are outside her mother's training, such as drawing blood for Microscopy.

“It cannot be, I think it is destiny”

Contrary to how it may seem, this professional direction was not a straight line. Despite the sparkle in Rayssa's eyes when it comes to dedicating herself even more to Naturopathy, she almost went into another specialty, seeing in aesthetics a more profitable way to work.

And while researching courses and references in aesthetics, everyone in the field she had contact with recommended the same institution. So, looking at that institution's courses, searching for the one best suited to what she wanted, one in particular caught her eye and lit up even more before her: the Postgraduate Program in Quantum Naturopathy.

To her, this seemed like the work of destiny. And although aesthetics is a promising field, it is not what fills her heart – something that is clear while she talks about Naturopathy, with excitement and a sparkle in her eyes.

Today, Rayssa Nardia shows no signs of the disease that was once the reason for a fatal sentence. She believes she was healed and that she has the power to help heal many other people, that she can offer support in disease prevention and experiences much more comforting than her own experience in hospitals.
