She has worked in pharmacies her whole life and now plans to move from pharmacy to aesthetics to achieve the financial independence she has dreamed of
Nathalia Mendonça is a pharmacist. Working in pharmacies since she was 16, she has never worked in any other profession. After many years serving patients in pharmacies, she now wants to achieve financial independence by moving from pharmacy to aesthetics.
She has always been involved in the health field. Also having worked in compounding pharmacies, Nathalia enjoys what she does. The care and the experience of being able to help others are part of her story.
To escape the routine and be able to control her own schedule, Nathalia Mendonça is planning her new path in aesthetics, hoping as an aesthetic pharmacist to reach new horizons and rediscover herself as a great entrepreneur.

Aesthetics: A Promising Field to Grow In
Nathalia admits that she got involved with health a long time ago and has always been interested in aesthetics. When she started her professional life, at just 16, she began working in pharmacies. Staying in that sector, she decided to study pharmacy to improve at her job.
Her first contact with aesthetics came right after she finished her degree. She says the professional council itself pointed her toward aesthetics. She says she had always liked the field, but when she finished her degree the interest blossomed. Nathalia believes that aesthetics is a promising field, so she decided to pursue the career, confident about the return both financially and in her quality of life. “Actually, when I graduated, aesthetics was on the rise right there at the council. They mentioned it to us, and that same day it sparked my interest”.
After that, she decided to enroll in a postgraduate program to specialize and learn more about the field. With the potential for earnings and for having more control over her schedule and which procedures to perform, she is happily working toward finishing and starting to see patients.
Planning and the Desire to Have Her Own Space
Like many people who enter the aesthetics field, Nathalia also wants to open a space of her own. Most people who choose a career in aesthetics share this same desire, since having their own clinic lets them control their schedule: appointment hours, the procedures they want to perform, their earnings from appointments, and flexible hours for leisure and time with family.
Like any business venture, opening a clinic also takes effort, but Nathalia is able to look beyond the difficulties and go after her goal, and she is determined to reach it. “Opening a space, a clinic, is what I want!”.

Flexibility and a Better Salary
As we already know, entrepreneurship has its setbacks, but it also has its perks. Owning your own business brings many benefits that the routine of other jobs doesn't offer. Having set hours to get your tasks done, seeing the patients you have more affinity with, control over your financial return, and vacations and leisure time with family are some of the advantages. Nathalia is excited about this possibility and says that the financial return and the weight of her obligations at the pharmacy were crucial to her decision.
“The financial return and the hours I work at the pharmacies weighed heavily on this choice. You end up working a lot and earning little, and with aesthetics, I believe that will change. I hope I can improve that and start earning more”.
To achieve this financial independence, Nathalia already has in mind which procedures to focus on. Facial is one of them. Her affinity with the facial area makes it one of the services she will perform most regularly.
“I like the facial area because you see more results. Body treatments, for example, don't depend only on my work, while facial is calmer and faster. Body treatments depend on the patient's discipline, diet, routine”.
Nathalia made the decision to change professions and pursue new goals. That initiative was decisive in helping her envision a new path in her career.
