During her studies, Júlia Barbosa always saw herself pursuing a career in aesthetic pharmacy. Júlia has always been passionate about cosmetology, and even after studying pharmacy, the desire to pursue a career in aesthetics spoke louder.
Even while studying pharmacy, Julia never set aside her wish to become an aesthetics professional. She saw in the career a way to make a difference and project her future into one more option in the job market.
Once she graduated, and with her family's encouragement, she decided to enroll in the specialization to follow her passion and be able to help people beyond the service counter.
To Transform Lives, Pharmacist Specializes in Aesthetics and Wants to Change Lives
As we already know, Julia's dream was to take an active part in people's well-being. Today she works in drugstores, but she believes she can do even more. “In the pharmacy we can help, but we stay in the background, because in this case doctors have more responsibility”.
Observing her relationship with patients, Júlia Barbosa wanted to be more active and deal directly with people's satisfaction. “When we are hands-on, helping, seeing the sparkle in a person's eyes and how they regain their self-esteem, that was what caught my attention about the profession”.
Becoming a Great Entrepreneur and Winning Her Place in the Market
Júlia continues working at the drugstore where she is employed until she finishes her postgraduate program in aesthetic pharmacy, but her career goals are big. The future the young Aesthetic Pharmacist is charting for her career lives up to the goals she set for herself in life.
With the intention of becoming a successful businesswoman, she understands the steps needed to reach this goal. Having autonomy at work, winning clients and being recognized for her work are her main points. “I plan to have my own office, write prescriptions for formulations, work with fillers, invasive and non-invasive procedures, and many others. I want to be a quality professional for my patients”.
She acknowledges that only with a lot of dedication is it possible to move forward and overcome barriers. Besides personal benefits, the financial reward is also attractive when you act professionally. “It is a very broad profession; besides the benefits of seeing your client happy and satisfied with the procedure they had, there is also a very good financial return. Seeing your work recognized and fairly paid is very rewarding”.
Classes That Go Beyond Technical Knowledge and Boost Students' Résumés
Júlia emphasizes that the specialization brings a lot of learning, not only through the theory and hands-on practice done during classes. An important point she noted is the social interaction with her classmates.
For her, the experience gained with other professionals, such as aesthetic biomedical professionals and aesthetic nurses, among others, is extremely important for her development as a professional. “Through the relationships between students in the hands-on classes, I can understand situations you only experience day to day. What works, what is possible, how to price a service and even how to analyze the market in other regions definitely enrich my learning”.
Júlia devotes her days to learning and gaining new skills to enter the aesthetics market with quality and knowledge and, in doing so, become a reference professional, like the professionals who have been through Nepuga, and also encourage others to follow the same steps she did.
Little by little she is already starting to see patients at a few clinics as she learns in the course, and she trusts in her growth to contribute more and more to people's happiness.
