Fresh Frozen Cadaver: Everything About the New Extra Module in Nepuga's 2022 Postgraduate Programs

The Aesthetic Health sector is advancing like no other market. With no time for global economic crises, the field innovates and explores teaching formats to expand the knowledge of aesthetic professionals so they can offer the best care and treatments to their future patients. Fresh Frozen Cadaver is moving in the same direction.

Nepuga/Fapuga seeks to train its students by always thinking ahead of the national market. That is why, in order to offer more real-world experiences and, of course, train postgraduate students to leave the classroom prepared to work in any Aesthetic Health setting, the institution is introducing another novelty: the Fresh Frozen Cadaver module in the Postgraduate Programs in Aesthetics.

“This subject aims to provide advanced anatomy training to professionals, in addition to understanding anatomical structures, safe ways of applying injectables in facial harmonization, and the practical knowledge needed to avoid danger zones during applications of botulinum toxin, fillers, PDO threads, facial intradermotherapy/mesotherapy treatments, PRP and PRF. Professionals will identify the different types of aging and have advanced knowledge to offer the right clinical treatment plan to their patients,” says Prof. Ma. Dr. Ana Carolina Puga.

The subject will have limited spots and students will have one day of hands-on practice at the São Paulo campus. This is a rare opportunity in the Aesthetic Health market that allows students to study facial anatomy in 3D.

Fresh Frozen Cadaver: a rare module in the country

This format is rare in Brazil, and Nepuga will be one of the only higher education institutions to offer this course in its curriculum. The module is responsible for dynamically deepening the knowledge and practices needed to perform injectables on future patients.

In fact, this course will directly contribute to a better experience when performing procedures with Model Patients, a Nepuga program open to patients seeking quality aesthetic treatments at an affordable price.

That is because training with a fresh cadaver illustrates the reality that aesthetic professionals will face in the future and in practice with Model Patients. This way, students will have more command of the procedures and reduce the chances of failures, complications and injuries in treatments.

Training through the most realistic experiences possible is the best way to prepare aesthetic professionals who can make a difference in the Aesthetic Health market.

Using a fresh cadaver sets this teaching apart

The Fresh Frozen Cadaver module will be offered in the 3rd stage of hands-on classes of the Postgraduate Programs in Aesthetics, together with the Injectables 2 and complications modules. This stage covers botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid fillers, PDO threads, and more.

Using a fresh cadaver at this stage will contribute to a more realistic experience, since students will learn about anatomical structures and safe application methods in greater detail.

New students who enroll in next year's postgraduate programs, such as biomedical professionals, nurses, pharmacists, biologists, dentists and physicians, will already have the Fresh Frozen Cadaver subject in their curriculum. Current students will also receive the added module. Nepuga alumni will be able to take the subject separately with a special payment arrangement.

“Fresh cadaver practice is a differentiator, because it allows professionals to improve techniques and concepts, providing a realistic setting for planning, safety and practical applications. Professionals will be better prepared to identify the anatomy of the facial muscles, have a deeper understanding of volume loss and structural changes in tissue layers with aging, recognize and feel confident about the appropriate anatomical planes for applying injectable substances, identifying danger zones and thus avoiding complications in their treatments. They will also be able to perform an in-depth evaluation of a patient for facial harmonization treatments,” explains Dr. Ana Carolina.

Don't miss the chance to further improve your knowledge and elevate your performance as an aesthetic professional.
