“I've always liked working for myself,” says Dr. Neife Ferreira, who has always had an entrepreneurial streak. After years running a compounding pharmacy, she says she moved into aesthetic pharmacy because of market demand.
More than a decade running her own business and a team made her days stressful and her routine exhausting:
“I had a pharmacy for 17 years, I got tired of the field and decided to stop, I sold everything and started in a new area, aesthetics.”
A graduate since 1993 of Universidade Sagrado Coração, she decided to give up her stability and start over doing something she loved: Aesthetic Pharmacy. “I started everything over,” she says.
Stepping out of her comfort zone, Dr. Neife first set up a photoepilation clinic, and as demand grew she decided to go deeper.
Career transition leads to aesthetic pharmacy
She says the transition between the two fields was smooth, since she already had the necessary infrastructure:
“I set up the clinic 7 years ago, and my interest in advanced aesthetics only came up recently. I was afraid of working with needles and more invasive procedures, but people kept asking and I followed the market.”
That is how @pulse_fotodepilacao was born, focused on Aesthetic Pharmacy. It is currently being renovated to become an advanced aesthetics clinic and a multiprofessional space.
“I already had the space and my training in the health field. So where my pharmacy used to be, I tore it down and built my clinic. I already had clients asking for it, so all I needed was to specialize.”
Finishing her postgraduate program in September 2021, Dr. Neife is pushing ahead full speed with the renovation of her space, investing in her new venture.
“In a few days I'm turning 50 and I'll be graduating. All I can say is that it's never too late,” she emphasizes.
