We will present part of the academic story of Dr. Paula Carolina Sopena and Dr. Fernanda Cruz, an aesthetic biomedical professional and an aesthetic biologist, who stood out in the postgraduate program and today are examples of how dedication and commitment to one's training are essential to achieve relevance not only in school, but in every project they set out to accomplish.

We will begin by telling a little about Dr. Paula Carolina's journey through the postgraduate program in aesthetics at Nepuga. “My experience in the postgraduate program was extremely enjoyable, I had no problems of a practical or theoretical nature. Whenever needed, I was very well attended to, and the part that impressed me most about the program, for sure, is the hands-on classes.”

“During my undergraduate studies I was already focusing on and becoming interested in aesthetics. That's when I started making some contacts and discovered Nepuga. It was thanks to the specialization that today I work directly with facial and body harmonization in my office, thus fulfilling my dream.” 

Besides finding herself professionally, Dr. Paula's career has risen incredibly, allowing her to already see patients in her own office.

“Throughout my university years I was always a very dedicated student, I always sought to acquire knowledge beyond what I was already getting. When I entered the postgraduate program, my drive to qualify myself grew more and more, and with that I had the opportunity to take several extracurricular courses, improving my knowledge.” 

Successful entrepreneur: “Owner of my own office”

Today Dr. Paula already owns her own office, honoring her commitment in everything she sets out to do. Winning an award as a highlight in her specialty affirms her commitment to her own development and especially to her patients, who with each of the doctor's achievements know they are in good hands. 

“Today I am an Aesthetic Biomedical Professional and owner of my own office and I am extremely fulfilled, and I keep acquiring more and more knowledge so I can satisfy my patients. Thank you for the opportunity to take part in the academic highlights.”

A turning point: “It was an important step”

Dr. Fernanda Cruz, Aesthetic Biologist, is also another postgraduate who received the 2022 Academic Excellence Award for becoming a standout in her specialization. 

When asked about the importance of the postgraduate program in her training, she emphasizes: “The postgraduate program was a super important step and a turning point in my professional life. I discovered a new world in aesthetics and I fall more and more in love with the field for being able to light up people's smiles and self-esteem through aesthetics. Aesthetics goes far beyond what can be seen.”  

And she continues: “That period of the postgraduate program was a period of a lot of study and dedication. A period of absorbing so much knowledge, very enriching. I still have a long road ahead, considering that a good professional always needs to keep updating and seeking the best for their patients.”

The postgraduate program was a professional reunion for Dr. Fernanda. Aesthetics brought her a vision she had not acquired for her career. It was this discovery of a new path that made her dedicate herself and strive in the postgraduate program, transforming her life and projecting an even brighter future. 

“Fernanda before the postgraduate program wasn't very sure about the direction her professional career would take. Fernanda after the postgraduate program discovered a world of possibilities with aesthetics and that aesthetics goes far beyond appearance.” 

The award winners received at home a kit containing various items to honor them, and Dr. Fernanda made a point of intensifying the gratitude and affection she has for the institution as soon as she received the kit.
