At 46, Fabiana carries with her a solid career full of experiences in the pharmacy routine. That’s more than two decades – exactly 23 years – of dedication and continuous learning. During that time, she worked in various pharmacy sectors, from drugstore customer service to the more technical behind-the-scenes of the profession. Her story is marked by an evident passion for caring for people and for staying in constant professional motion.

What the Pharmacy Routine Is Like

For many years, she worked in drugstores, an environment that, although much loved, demanded almost total dedication. The intense routine, along with schedules like the 6×1 (six days on, one day off), began to weigh on her. She enjoyed interacting with customers, hearing their stories and guiding them, but she also felt something was missing.

“It was always the patient coming to find relief from pain, someone who was already suffering”, she often says. That realization planted a seed in her heart: what if there were a way to keep caring for people, but promoting well-being and self-esteem instead of just treating illness?

With that thought, Fabiana decided to change course. The desire to explore new horizons led her to the world of aesthetics. Today, she works part-time at a dental medication distributor and devotes the rest of her time to this new passion: facial and body aesthetics.

“I needed to get my hands dirty”

It wasn’t a sudden decision. Back during the pandemic, she even took a distance-learning postgraduate program in the field, but the lack of hands-on practice left her feeling incomplete. “I needed to get my hands dirty”, she explains.

That was when, before diving in completely, she decided to take a short open course in the field, just to test whether she truly identified with the segment. The answer came clearly: she not only liked it, she was enchanted by the possibilities.

Aesthetics revealed a new world, full of nuances, techniques, protocols and, above all, smiles. A universe where patients didn’t arrive in pain, but looking for care, self-esteem and positive transformation.

Convinced she had found a new purpose, Fabiana decided to redo her postgraduate program, now with a full focus on practice. And that is how she began to truly live the day-to-day of aesthetics.

The online classes with professors available in real time, the exchange of experiences with classmates and, above all, constant practice have been fundamental to her growth. “It’s different from anything I’ve ever experienced”, she says, her eyes shining.

Throughout the course, she was exposed to a wide range of procedures and technologies. She discovered innovative protocols, techniques she hadn’t known about, and areas of practice within aesthetics she had never imagined.

Change Isn’t Easy, but It’s Worth It

“The sun shines for everyone”, she often says, referring to the wide range of opportunities this market offers. To her, the aesthetics niche is more than promising – it is welcoming, expansive and democratic.

More than a new career, Fabiana found a new way to express her love for people. She has always been driven by that affection for others, that desire to care. And now she feels she can see the results in an even more visible, almost immediate way. “It’s gratifying to see the sparkle in patients’ eyes after a procedure. It’s a different kind of happiness”, she shares.

Today, Fabiana feels renewed. She is excited about the prospects opening up before her. Her wish is clear: that everything flows, that her career transition is successful and that she can serve her patients with excellence, promoting self-esteem, well-being and confidence.

She knows the challenges exist – after all, changing fields after so many years in a profession is not simple – but she believes the effort is worth it. Every day has been a discovery, and with each class, each appointment, she feels more confident, better prepared and more connected to her new mission.
