Aesthetic Biomedical Professional Splits His Time Between Teaching and Practicing Advanced Facial Harmonization

Aesthetic biomedical professional Dr. Sandro Pinho discovered the possibility of working in aesthetics during the final stretch of his undergraduate degree, and it has been love at first sight ever since. He used his professional network to set up his office and today he is already building a loyal base of patients, thanks to the good work he has done alongside the team at the clinic.

“I've always liked taking care of my skin, taking care of myself. I saw a promising career in aesthetics, especially in clinical care,” says Sandro.

Another passion in the aesthetic biomedical professional's life is teaching. As soon as he graduated, his first step was to pursue an academic career. “I graduated as a specialist in molecular biology and joined as a professor right away. Since I already had an interest in aesthetics, I enrolled in a specialization in the field at the same university where I got my degree, but I didn't feel at all confident about practicing, about going out into the market,” the biomedical professional explains.

For aesthetic biomedical professional Sandro Pinho, the partnership was essential to start seeing patients

During the pandemic, online classes made his study routine much easier. He advanced in his specialization and felt confident enough to propose a business partnership to a friend who owns a podiatry clinic.

“In the injectables and body and facial harmonization side, I saw that I could add to the space she already had, which was limited to a few procedures, because she used to work with an esthetician there, and the range of procedures, especially injectables, couldn't be offered,” says Sandro.

According to him, the podiatry clinic's clients were the first to be absorbed into advanced facial aesthetics care. “My dream is to expand the clinic and set up my own space to teach aesthetics courses and give students hands-on practice with model patients, but focused on standalone courses,” he explains.

Since teaching is a strong passion for Sandro, today he balances his clinical appointments in Belo Horizonte with the classes he teaches.
