Jainny Saraiva always had an interest in healthcare; after high school she started a nursing degree, but realized it wasn't exactly what she wanted and, after more research, decided to study dentistry. After going deeper into aesthetic dentistry, that is the field she fell in love with.
The dental surgeon initially planned to stay in her hometown, in the interior of Pernambuco, but when the opportunity came, Jainny seized it and moved to the capital of São Paulo without knowing anyone there other than her family.
The dentist then began working at franchises in the capital, but says it was not easy at first. The franchises where she worked prioritized seeing a large number of patients, without concern for the quality of the time spent on those appointments.
“I worked a lot for a return that undervalues dentistry. I had 15 minutes to see a patient, for an extremely low daily rate, R$130.00!”
Transformation through aesthetic dentistry
It was under those working conditions that Jainny decided to turn to the aesthetics field and first took the Composite Resin Veneer course, which was a first step toward transforming her patients' appearance, and with experience in the practice came a passion for the field and for the possibility of transforming people's self-esteem.
The aesthetic dentist tells about an experience that made her eyes light up even more in this regard: when a patient came to her asking her to give back her self-esteem through her smile. It was a difficult case, but an impressive one, because of the transformation Jainny was able to achieve, and she was moved by the happiness it brought.
Aesthetic dentistry beyond the smile
This ability to bring happiness moved her to want to expand her practice to patients' faces as well, so that when they come to her office unhappy with their own appearance, Jainny can have much more to offer, more solutions to the concerns they report.
This also requires more time to devote to each patient and to understand what she can do and what will truly be the best in each case, quite different from what many dental clinics on the market today allow.
Why choose HOF?
The smile is closely tied to people's appearance, to how they express themselves and how they are seen, but the dental surgeon who wants to work in aesthetic dentistry has a range of courses and specializations to choose from, involving dental implants, whitening, resins, and so on. Why then choose Orofacial and Surgical Harmonization?
First, the market reality for a professional specialized in HOF is very different from the reality Jainny experienced working in dental clinics. The procedures an Orofacial Harmonization professional can offer are highly valued, so there is a very quick financial return for quality procedures performed on the face.
An edge over short courses
Jainny even thought about taking shorter courses in the field, but when she reviewed the HOF curriculum she found a complete list of procedures, skills, and in-depth facial anatomy training that certainly provide, far beyond a specialist title, the real authority to give patients everything they are looking for, with the best possible quality and safety.
“So taking small courses is sometimes not so satisfying, you always need a little more, which is why I always choose a more complete course. That is why I chose Fapuga college, because I looked at the course curriculum and saw that it really had everything I needed.”
The importance of clinical immersions
Beyond the theoretical curriculum, taught by highly qualified faculty who are active in HOF, what Jainny says also caught her attention was the number of clinical immersions in the schedule.
Supervised by the faculty, the clinical immersions already allow aesthetic dentists to have contact with model patients, and to apply what they learned in class in a much more complete way, immersing themselves in the complexity of each case and consolidating their own abilities.
Expectations for the future
Today, Jainny works at franchises with somewhat better working conditions, where she receives a percentage of the appointments, but she wants more: she wants her own office and, with it, more financial independence and autonomy to treat her patients with the quality she is capable of delivering.
The aesthetic dentist also has another admirable purpose for her future: she wants to open paths for other people, wants to return to her hometown, in the interior of Pernambuco, and show others that it is possible to achieve success through a specialization in aesthetic dentistry with HOF.
Where Jainny comes from, she says there are few opportunities in the field, so she wants to learn a great deal to be a reference that others can look up to and learn from, and thus have the opportunity she did not have when she graduated.
