Academic Career at Nepuga Is a Goal for the Institution's Postgraduate Students

After earning their postgraduate diploma as Aesthetics specialists, Nepuga graduates take on a new challenge: entering the job market. Many of them already work in the field and started their own businesses while still in the program.

That's because the Aesthetic and Integrative Health market is growing exponentially as demand for aesthetic procedures rises. That's why there are so many aesthetics professionals to meet the market's new opportunities.

However, something we have noticed lately is that our postgraduate students, besides wanting to build a career and start businesses in the Aesthetic Health market, are also very interested in starting an academic career here, at the institution responsible for their training.

We have already written on the blog about how Nepuga, as a pioneering institution in the Aesthetic and Integrative Health market, is a target for headhunters looking for qualified, well-trained aesthetics professionals for their companies, clinics and spas. And now we'll talk about the postgraduate alumni who want to work with us and build a career with Nepuga.

Prof. Dr. Antony Barbosa: from postgraduate student to Nepuga faculty member

Prof. Dr. Antony Barbosa has an extensive academic résumé, built through long years of study. A pharmacist with a master's degree and a doctorate from UFRJ, he realized that beauty and aesthetics had always been present in his life, intertwined with his academic path and life story.

After identifying that interest, he decided to add to his knowledge and completed the Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Pharmacy at Nepuga. “Choosing this institution was no accident; after all, years of working as a faculty member in higher education gave me a strong critical sense. After market research, reviews from former students and analysis of MEC (Brazil's Ministry of Education) reports, I had no doubts about the school,” says the doctor.

Something that captivated him when choosing the institution, and that was confirmed after he started the program at his inaugural class, was the presence of Dr. Ana Carolina Puga and the importance of studying at an institution led by her.

“Her academic, professional and motivational lessons in that class still ring in my ears and help me connect with Nepuga's way of building competencies. Teaching through well-trained faculty and in a caring way, respecting students' difficulties and motivating them to be better and better,” he says.

While still a postgraduate student, Prof. Dr. Antony already stood out in the hands-on classes, and that is why he is now part of Nepuga's faculty.

“I'm proud to have been a Nepuga student and even prouder to be a faculty member of this institution that welcomed me. It's great to be part of the Nepuga team and to say with confidence that I work at Brazil's most recognized Postgraduate Institution in Aesthetics,” says the professor.

Prof. Dr. Antony also leads a MasterClass on Body Harmonization and High Performance featuring techniques he developed himself to improve the patient's body.

While you're still thinking about it, people with fewer qualifications but more courage are already doing it.

Don't wait for the perfect moment, because the perfect moment doesn't exist.”
