Dr. Ana Carolina Puga Launches the Series A Beleza Invisível

A Beleza Invisível (The Invisible Beauty), Conversas de Coração para Coração (Heart-to-Heart Conversations), is Dr. Ana Carolina Puga's new project. In seven episodes, this series brings concepts rarely addressed by Aesthetic Health professionals but of great importance for professional success.

This project began with the film of the same name, produced in the past only for women. But after realizing the importance of deeper questions and answers about human beings in general, Dr. Puga decided to extend her message to everyone.

A Beleza Invisível: a look into the hearts of Aesthetic Health professionals

The search for schedule flexibility, professional success, and working in a lucrative market leads many professionals to choose a specialization in Aesthetic Health.

But for Dr. Ana Carolina Puga, the mother of Aesthetic Biomedicine, there are other things that make a professional stand out, and that is not taught in any course.

“We [at Nepuga] help health professionals transform their lives, leave the pharmacy counter, the long nursing shifts, the biomedicine and biology labs. We help these people take the lead in their own practices, have freedom, and work with what they love. But I realized something was missing. It was this student's personal development”, the doctor explained.

After the specialization, the professional begins to practice, can stand out in the field, and reach their goal. However, the doctor realized, from her own experience, that study and work alone were not enough.

It is rare for an Aesthetic Health specialist to promote in themselves all the benefits and feelings they deliver to their patients.

“When we talk about the Aesthetics field, we think only of procedures, of the shell, what is on the outside of each person. But we need to remember what lies beyond that, which is the inner beauty that shows on the outside when we are happy, feeling beautiful, after doing something we love. And that is what the professional delivers to the patient, but what about them? I wanted to address what no one talks about in our work, and how we also need to be well with ourselves in order to deliver the best to the patient!”

And the path to that was the series A Beleza Invisível. In seven episodes, the doctor will begin reflections on life and the three important pillars of personal development: love, self-knowledge, and reality.

“Today, I want to show professionals, and not only those in Aesthetic Health, that to be successful in our work, it takes much more than external care of ourselves. It's not enough to be just a specialist; you also need to take care of your inner beauty, the beauty that is invisible but essential to our lives.”

Reflections on a new world

Although A Beleza Invisível seeks to address esoteric questions, the structural changes that came with the pandemic were also a decisive point for the project.

“We work, we dedicate ourselves, we improve our knowledge, and then a virus comes and changes everything. We lose important people and even have problems with our own health. In the end, what really mattered out of everything we did? That is also a point I discuss in the series A Beleza Invisível”, she said.

That reflection was also what motivated many professionals to move into Aesthetic Health, especially those working in hospitals and laboratories on the front line against Covid-19.

But that change only happened after they found what they truly wanted for their lives. For the doctor, this movement was driven by each professional's self-knowledge, after reflecting on their lives, values, and desires.

That is what the series portrays in the first three episodes. Based on the book The Three Questions, by Don Miguel Ruiz, the doctor reflects on how personal development affects professional success.

The first three episodes

After narrating the story that runs through the entire series A Beleza Invisível, the doctor begins a reflection on the first question: “who are you?”

It may seem like a simple question, but over the course of the episodes, you realize that to answer it, there are many pillars that must be overcome: society, judgments, opinions, expectations.

The doctor also presents another pillar that hinders self-knowledge: the fear of being different.

“We need to understand that each person is unique. Even if we share similar opinions, there is something inside each of us, the SELF, that needs to be found and accepted. That is what really matters in taking the first step toward personal development. Only by knowing who we are, what we like, what we want, do we understand where we are going, what we should do, which path to follow…” the doctor explained.

That is why A Beleza Invisível is a project for the personal and professional development of Aesthetic Health specialists who seek career success.

But to understand and make the most of the whole experience Dr. Ana Carolina brings in the series, you need to listen to the episodes in order.

“They are not independent. In each one, I continue what was said before, and as you listen, you will understand and have more clarity about everything we reflect on!”

What is coming next

According to Dr. Ana Carolina Puga, this is a project for everyone. However, not everyone is yet in search of personal development.

“I want to promote the series more, because even if not everyone is prepared to listen and reflect on life, I at least want to show them where they can go when they decide to seek personal development and professional success.”

In addition to making A Beleza Invisível available on two widely used platforms, YouTube and Spotify, the doctor is also promoting it to Nepuga students.

“My team is already working on putting the videos inside the portal. I want, if not all my students, then a good share of them to watch, reflect, and understand the importance of this project for themselves”, she concluded.

Besides YouTube, you can follow more about the series on Dr. Ana Carolina Puga's social media.
