Nepuga's hybrid teaching model is very beneficial for most professionals in the field of Health who are seeking a postgraduate programbut sometimes, because of their routines, they end up missing class, and a make-up session and an absence excuse become necessary.  

So how do you do it? Excusing an absence at Nepuga is very simple: just submit the request through the portal itself, under the “secretariat” tab.  Then choose the class you missed and state your reasons.

When should you excuse an absence at Nepuga?  

The absence should be excused whenever the postgraduate student is unable to attend class. You need to state the reason for your absence in the “notes” field so that the department understands why you were absent.

After you submit your request, it is reviewed and the postgraduate student gets access to the missed class.  

But beyond the excuse itself, there are many questions about absences. We have tried to answer the main questions sent in by students.  

“Does the excuse cancel my absence?”  

Yes. When the postgraduate student excuses the absence, it is canceled and they can access the missed class and all of its content, and complete any pending assignments.  

So if you can't attend your online or in-person class, be sure to excuse your absence at Nepuga through the portal!  

“How does excusing a hands-on class work?”  

In the case of a missed hands-on class, the postgraduate student has up to 72 hours to submit the request and present a medical note stating the reason for the absence.  

“Does excusing an absence affect my performance?”  

Your performance will not be affected if you excuse an absence at Nepuga. It is only affected if you don't study or don't commit to your postgraduate program.  

  The absence excuse is a request that helps us understand the reasons you were unable to attend this commitment made between the institution and the postgraduate student.  

However, it has no power to affect academic performance, since it is what allows the postgraduate student to study and not miss any content or assignments. We encourage postgraduate students to organize themselves so they can study and get the best experience during classes.

Use the absence excuse only when it is truly not possible to attend class. For any unexpected situation, you can contact support to check what can be done about your classes or your study schedule.
