With great pride in what was achieved at the first edition of the Academic Excellence Award, Nepuga begins activities for this edition recognizing professionals who were an outstanding part of the institution's history in the previous year.
Always seeking the best, our team has been working to improve the experience of the award winners and make this event even grander, as proof of the recognition and prestige given to the specialists trained by the institution.
“It is an honor to train talent for more than 15 years in one of the largest markets in the world, but our purpose, more than training and qualifying a professional, is to trust that this professional will stand out in their field and take the purpose to new levels,”says Dr. Ana Carolina Puga about the event.
“We pursue excellence, and we trust that we are doing the best work for the best specialist.”
Drielle Nicotari, an employee in the institution's finance department, also shared a bit about the process and results of the event's first edition:
“The 2022 academic excellence award was very important for us. Nepuga had never done an award at this level, so it was challenging, but very rewarding for everyone. It was a union of the whole team, each doing their part, the items were chosen with great care and dedication, so we were very happy. We saw the videos of the students receiving them, and it was very rewarding to be able to finish this project with glory.”
Category: Influencer of the Year
Among the new features of the award for last year's graduates are new categories and new prizes.
One of the highlights of the new categories is Influencer of the Year, a subdivision that recognizes work that is very important for professionals today, inside and outside aesthetics: outreach through social media.
This year, biomedical professional Dr. Raphael Sales was elected Influencer of the Year, thanks to his remarkable engagement, especially on his Instagram profile.
His posts show a bit of the daily life and work he does as an aesthetic biomedical professional dedicated to trichology. He takes the opportunity to create informative content in the field and also shared a lot of his experiences during the Postgraduate Program.
This work of promoting one's own skills and knowledge helps build recognition of the professional as a competent specialist, not least because many aesthetic procedure patients seek to be as informed as possible, both about the professionals and about the details of each procedure.
At the same time, a lack of social media presence and outdated professional profiles often convey less credibility.
So, well-made content creation, done consistently and grounded in real professional skills, has a lot to contribute to the success of aesthetic professionals who want to consolidate their name in aesthetics. Hence the importance of recognizing the effort of Nepuga-trained specialists also in their dedication as digital influencers.

New edition, new prizes
All the prizes were redesigned, from appearance and format to the addition of a personalized lab coat for each award-winning specialist.
This year's prizes are also customized according to the graphic standard of the institution's 2023 visual identity.
An award to encourage engagement
Since it is an opportunity to celebrate the strong performance of specialists trained at Nepuga, the Academic Excellence Award also uses evaluation criteria that measure postgraduate students' connection with the institution, and therefore their engagement.
Class attendance is a baseline ranking criterion, so candidates with attendance below 75% are disqualified. The criteria also take into account presence on the institution's social media, which serves as one of the tiebreakers between participants.
The award also considers completing evaluations in satisfaction surveys and on Google Business Profile.
Ana Luiza Gabriel Di Santo, after-sales coordinator, who was present from the planning to the execution of this project, talks a bit about this relationship between the award and postgraduate students' engagement:
“This award encourages engagement and student participation, it brings up new innovation projects, which will open doors for these award-winning students to win new job opportunities, so they can also find new partners and, who knows, be here with us at Nepuga in the future. It is an investment in the student.”
