Nepuga Promotes a Women's Day Movement and Runs Actions on Its Social Media

On March 8 we celebrate Women's Day, an essential date on our calendar for society to recognize and highlight the importance of fighting gender inequality and striving for greater respect for women in any environment or position they hold.

Contrary to what many people think, this date was not created for commercial purposes, but as a way of honoring women who worked in factories and fought for better working conditions in the late 19th century.

Day after day, we face and break down barriers, and we commonly see cases and studies showing how women – in many professional fields – earn less than men, simply for being women.

However, there are fields that break this chain of pay gaps, and Aesthetic Health is among them. Our market narrows the differences between those who work in it relatively well, and we understand our importance as trainers of these professionals.

Recognizing the importance of this date for society and for our Aesthetic Health sector, Nepuga carried out several actions to highlight the value of women in the life of each team member. In addition, Dr. Ana Carolina Puga also attended the Clinical Immersion at the Ribeirão Preto campus and surprised the students who were there.

A Toast: Dr. Ana Carolina Puga Surprises Students at a Hands-On Class at the Ribeirão Preto Campus

At the Ribeirão Preto campus, hands-on classes for postgraduate students in the region have been taking place since March 5 and end on the 12th. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Dr. Ana Carolina Puga surprised the students at the end of the day and brought champagne to toast Women's Day.

"They are all winners, warriors, who fought to be here. It's not easy, but winners stay, they persist. We brought champagne to celebrate Women's Day and make a toast to all of us," said Dr. Ana Carolina.

Women's Day Movement

The principles celebrated and extolled on Women's Day need to be put into practice every day. We are a higher education institution founded and led by a woman, and we understand the importance of it and how much struggle it took for Nepuga to be where it is today.

Aware of this and of our representation in the field, Nepuga holds Women's Week and has prepared a series of actions to celebrate incredible and inspiring women.

On our social media, there will be a series of posts about Women's Day, highlighting everyone from our managers and coordinators to our postgraduate students, talking about their rise in the Aesthetic Health market and how women are investing in a future with autonomy and financial freedom.

Internally, we created missions involving all Nepuga team members, from posting books and films written and produced by a woman, and even characters, to honoring coworkers and many more, in order to truly create a Women's Day Movement.

You can take part in this action too: just share something on your Instagram profile honoring a woman you admire, tag @nepugaposgraduacao, and we will repost everyone in our stories.
