The hands-on sessions of Nepuga's Orofacial and Surgical Harmonization class in São Paulo were intense, with dozens of applications of threads and biostimulators. The dentists had the opportunity to move among the cases, follow along hands-on, and get to know different biostimulators and different types of threads, such as smooth PDO threads and barbed (spiculated) ones.
With the room full of patients being treated, coordinator Dr. Diogo Branco and Prof. Camila Branco guided and supervised the applications. They explained the differences among the biostimulators, their indications, the applications, and the correct dilutions. Among the brands present were Sculptra, as well as Renova's Elleva, Radiesse, and others.

Fabiana Paz was one of the model patients for the biostimulators; she says she is past 30 and so she thought it was time to do something to improve her skin's support.

“I really liked it, I was very well taken care of. I felt no pain because they used anesthetic, and I am very happy with the result,” she says.
In all, there were 4 days of hands-on practice; besides patient care for thread and biostimulator applications, there were applications of lip filler, nonsurgical rhinoplasty (rhinomodeling), and chin, jawline, and under-eye filler. There were also applications of the main lasers, such as Ultraformer III, Lavieen, fractional CO2, and radiofrequency.
