The 2022 World Cup at Nepuga/Fapuga has already begun! Even before the players stepped onto the field, our campuses were already ready for match days.
Brazil in the World Cups
Brazil is the only national team in the whole world that has taken part in every edition of the World Cup. It even hosted two editions, 1950 and 2014. And between 1930 and 2022, Brazil is the country with the most titles, being five-time champion. Brazil won in the following years:
- 1958
- 1962
- 1970
- 1994
- 2002
In addition, we came close in two more editions, 1950 and 1998. A third place in 1938 and another in 1978. However, since the last trophy, our team has not reached the final again, and the best result was 4th place in 2014.
For this edition, there is great expectation that we can once again be the greatest national team in the world. Regardless of who was called up and how fierce the competition is, the fact is that the fans' support at each of Brazil's matches is intense.
The 2022 World Cup
Brazil got off to a good start in the 2022 World Cup because it was the first team to secure a spot in this competition during the South American Qualifiers. In addition, according to rankings by football organizations, it became the country with the most points in the last year.
It was then drawn into Group G, which also includes Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon. If it advances past the first stage, Brazil may play against the qualifiers from Group H, which is made up of Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea.
Because it is held in Qatar, which is 6 hours ahead of Brasília time, the matches here will be broadcast at 4 times each day: 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. In the first matches, the Brazilian national team always plays in the afternoon.
The 2022 World Cup at Nepuga/Fapuga
The 2022 World Cup at Nepuga/Fapuga is ready for the opening matches. Our campuses received pennants, yellow and green balloons, and other accessories that show support for Brazil. See how some campuses turned out in the images below.
Individually, each staff member also dressed in team colors to show their enthusiasm for the stars of the Brazilian national team.
And Dr. Ana Carolina Puga had the privilege of watching Brazil's first match of the 2022 World Cup with her little granddaughter, Cecília, as she showed on her Instagram.
