Everything About the Advanced Facial Harmonization Course: Behind the Scenes of the Puga Code Masterclass

Last weekend (May 26, 27, and 28) was dedicated to advanced facial harmonization. During the Puga Code Masterclass, professionals from different fields had this great opportunity to work on their professional gaps with direct guidance from Dr. Ana Carolina Puga.

In addition to Dr. Ana, the guidance also came from Dr. Gilberto Pergher and Batoul Khannis, the technical lead of the São Paulo campus. 

Kirlliam Tomazelli also made great contributions with a talk on Sales Management and Profitability in Aesthetics, essential aspects for anyone who wants to work in the field and, not by chance, among the biggest questions for professionals who are specializing to work in it.

And attorney Victor Bellini delivered an exclusive training session, with guidance on how to handle patient expectations, possible dissatisfaction, and the possibility of complications from a legal standpoint.

Nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and biomedicine professionals took part in the course. Most of them already had some training in facial aesthetics and injectables, and were looking to become even better and safer.

The mother of Aesthetic Biomedicine took the opportunity, with physiotherapists present, to congratulate the profession on its new achievement, gained with the new authorization to use botulinum toxin.

But, back to the Masterclass, the great differentiator of this course is the personalized attention to what each mentee feels they need to improve. That is why Dr. Ana began the class on the 26th by asking about everyone's career, finding out whether they already practice, which courses they have taken, and what they were hoping to find in this advanced facial harmonization Masterclass.

And the main areas for improvement pointed out by those present were building confidence to practice and the ability to plan procedures according to patients' expectations.

To better address these needs, several resources were made available for practicing marking, planning, precision, and application on real patients. Including the famous Nepuguetty.

The three days of training were intense, but Dr. Ana stressed the importance of continuing to review and practice as much as possible, paying attention to the 8-day learning window, the period in which a subject should be studied more intensively when we want to retain it.

Advanced Facial Harmonization in practice

Given the competence of professionals whose training is geared toward developing a clinical eye for hospital, laboratory, and medication protocols, practices like those in this course work on developing a clinical eye geared toward aesthetic procedures, capable of easily identifying which interventions can be performed and how.

That is what advanced facial harmonization means: developing the confidence needed to do the best for each patient, respecting and valuing their physical features.

“The most valuable instrument in your office is your eyes. You have to develop a clinical eye, and that is priceless. It is not a piece of equipment, it is not a toxin, it is not a filler, it is not a substance, method, or technique. It is you. That is why we talk so much about training with clinical cases,” said Dr. Ana Carolina Puga on the first day of the course.

In addition to the materials mentioned, a very special surprise for the participants was the delivery of materials dedicated to this Masterclass. Handouts covering the most advanced part of the Puga Code were provided, material that will soon see a launch update in a much more complete version.

It is worth remembering that the Puga Code is a methodology developed by Dr. Ana Carolina Puga herself from a meticulous study, which resulted in the definition of 102 precise points for a safe, economical, and effective harmonization. The method therefore greatly helps in the practice of Harmonization.

And the MasterClass is a Full Hands-On course, so of course there was plenty of practice with real patients, who report feeling calm and confident with the specialists in training.

This edition took place in São Paulo, but other dates have already been scheduled for the hands-on advanced facial harmonization course in other state capitals and major cities across the country.
