The year 2022 was marked by many online talks, chats, and lives at Nepuga. The idea, which emerged during the pandemic, was widely embraced by healthcare professionals, and Dr. Ana Carolina Puga kept creating these live videos in conversations focused on aesthetics. Check out the main ones of the year!

Talk: Experiences in Aesthetic Biomedicine

In early 2022, Dr. Ana Carolina Puga also took part in a talk about experiences in Biomedicine. The chat was with Leonel Thomas Rosa, from UNISC (Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul), in Rio Grande do Sul.

“I thank Professor Leonel for taking part in this talk. I'm going to tell a brief story of my career and talk about the advances and news in our field, which is Aesthetic Biomedicine”. The talk is available on YouTube and runs 82 minutes.

Talk: Entrepreneurship in Aesthetic Health

The talk was given for the Faculdade Unisinos (Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos), located in São Leopoldo, in the Porto Alegre metropolitan area, in Rio Grande do Sul. But it is open to the public on the YouTube channel.

“Nowadays some professionals lack a lot of this: believing in their entrepreneurial potential” is how Dr. Ana began the conversation. And she added the following reflection: “We all have a mission, what is yours?”

Talk: Estética Alta Performance Experience 2022 Event

Dr. Ana Carolina Puga took part in the Estética Alta Performance Experience 2022 with a talk that was recorded and is available on Nepuga's channel. The event was in Rio Grande do Sul and marked Dr. Ana's return to Rio Grande do Sul after 3 years because of the pandemic.

So it is also one of the lives at Nepuga that you can watch on YouTube.

“It's a business opportunity for you, healthcare professionals, to specialize even further. And to learn how to position yourselves in the market, being a reference in each of your fields. I'll explain how the aesthetic health field came about and why you can work legally and freely”.

Live: Quantum Naturopathy – The Importance of Detoxification

Alongside Dr. Alexia Cambraia, Dr. Ana Carolina Puga took part in several lives at Nepuga. But one of the most watched was the one on Quantum Naturopathy. The online event was on Instagram in July 2022. “We're going to talk to healthcare professionals who want to do something more different from what you're already doing”.

Can a hyaluronic acid or a simple toxin cause intoxication in a patient? How can we handle the integrative processes of naturopathy to benefit aesthetic procedures? You can find the answers in the Live below.

Live: Surgeries in Orofacial Harmonization

Another of the lives at Nepuga held on the Nepuga Postgraduate Program's Instagram was done by Dr. Ana Carolina Puga together with Dr. Diogo Branco and Dr. Camila Branco. The chat runs a little over 60 minutes and answered many of people's questions.

Orofacial harmonization is a very interesting field for aesthetic dentistry. How does double chin liposuction work? That was one of the questions asked by viewers, and the explanation was given by Dr. Diogo, who is the coordinator of the Nepuga HOF course.

Live: Contact Lenses in HOF

This was another of the lives at Nepuga that are special for the orofacial and surgical harmonization course. Dr. Ana Carolina Puga hosted Dr. Diogo Branco and also Dr. Samira Branco. Like the other lives, healthcare professionals earned the complementary hours certificate.

“Our live is about contact lenses. And it's interesting how that changes a person's self-esteem. And from the moment the person is happier and more confident, they look younger. And that is what we want for our patients” is how Dr. Diogo opened his remarks.

Live: How to Protect Yourself Legally in Orofacial Harmonization

The special guest for yet another of the HOF lives at Nepuga was Dr. Yasmin Estanislau, who, together with Dr. Ana Carolina Puga and Dr. Diogo Branco, presented several important points about the legal proceedings that can arise in relation to orofacial procedures.

“Dr. Yasmin is a specialist in legal dentistry. And knowing this subject means having backing for our profession. She will bring several tips so we are prepared. Several topics will be discussed, with resolutions that allow dental surgeons to perform aesthetic procedures” said Dr. Diogo.

Interview: Dr. Dácio Campos, President of the CRBM (Brazilian professional council)

In October, during the event at which she received the Biomedical Professional of the Year honor from the Federal Council of Biomedicine, Dr. Ana Carolina Puga spoke with Dácio Campos, who is the President of the Regional Council of Biomedicine of the 1st Region.

The full interview runs a little over 5 minutes. “Today we complement a celebration that began at the Congress in Goiânia to honor you, biomedical professionals. I take this opportunity to thank you for the fight for aesthetics qualification,” said Dr. Dácio. Watch it in full.

Live: Special 12 Years of Aesthetic Biomedicine

To mark the 12 years of Aesthetic Biomedicine, Nepuga created a series of 3 videos. This is one of the lives at Nepuga that most caught the attention of healthcare professionals.

In each one, Dr. Ana Carolina Puga narrates moments and episodes that qualified healthcare professionals for aesthetic procedures.

Part I

The first video recalls 2010, when Dr. Ana Carolina Puga created the biomedicine specialty. From then on, aesthetic biomedical professionals could legally work in the field of aesthetics. “We all have a life mission”.

Part II

In the second video of the 12 Years of Aesthetic Biomedicine Live, Dr. Ana tells a part of her work in the market, when she gave several talks. And there was one, back in 2009, when everything began to change. “There were a lot of famous people who recognized the possible role of biomedical professionals in aesthetics”.

Part III

In the last video of the lives at Nepuga on this topic, the mother of Aesthetic Biomedicine answered several common questions from people. Among them, how a biomedical professional, nurse, pharmacist, or dentist can work in aesthetics, for example. The answers are all in the video. “I wanted to help a lot of people who did like me: they worked in aesthetics doing what they loved”.
