“The classes are great! The teachers' commitment is excellent. In the hands-on classes I took in Floripa, everything was very well organized, and Bruna and Paola are great teachers too! The only thing that upset me is that there is no laser device at the unit, so I didn't get the chance to learn that part in practice. As for the registrar's office, I was always well assisted there too, but it takes a little while. I understand the demand is high, which is why it takes time.”

Hello, Carolina, thank you for your feedback. In our Aesthetic Health postgraduate program we train specialists, not exactly machine technicians/operators. Most of our students know that it is far more advantageous to learn about the wide variety, operation and indications of the different types of laser, for each case, than to be a mere operator of one or a few devices.
Imagine you are learning to use the Lightsheer diode laser for hair removal in practice and, in your region, only the Soprano is available for rental. So how do you deal with that? Another fact is that you cannot rent just the equipment without including the certified technician or one working for the company. Such rental companies do not allow anyone other than their own technician to operate the devices, because they will not put their equipment at risk or in the hands of third parties. That is standard market practice.
Moreover, at no other Higher Education Institution can postgraduate students take advantage of the quality and variety of the technologies most used, sought after and valued in the aesthetics market. Only at Nepuga do health professionals have access to so many devices, such as Soprano, Lightsheer, Milesman, UltraFormer, PowerShape, SmartXide DOT Fractional CO2 Laser, CO2 Deka + Fredo, Etherea, Beauty Shape and Asgard Cryolipolysis, Body Health Cryofrequency, Harmony, Ultraformer Microfocused Ultrasound, Power Shape, Andrus Cryofrequency and other platforms.
But, above all, every Nepuga postgraduate student and graduate knows that on laser and aesthetic device days it is far more profitable to welcome patients well, prescribe more aesthetic procedures, oversee the technician's work, recommend the laser power for each skin type and other activities. Spending the whole day handling a Laser or Radiofrequency device is exhausting. Now multiply that by several times a week.
All of this explanation is in the content of the course in question. But of course, everything you learn with us does not prevent you from continuing as an operator of aesthetic devices working for others, in your own clinic and/or with your own rental company.

Hello, Juliana, we were surprised by your message. It is no news to any of your classmates that at our campuses the hands-on practice only takes place with a minimum quorum and on dates set in advance in your class's academic calendar. This is widely publicized.
Second, it is only at the Ribeirão Preto Campus that students have the privilege of taking classes with Dr. Ana Carolina Puga, and you were one of the few health professionals who had that experience. We have even documented the hands-on classes on aesthetic procedures in Ribeirão Preto-SP.
Like several of your classmates who live “far away” but prefer to take classes at Teaching Clinics, they even plan trips to the main capitals of Brazil in order to gain even more clinical and market experience. Please also know that scheduling at these clinics is entirely at your disposal as a regularly enrolled student.

“I think the biggest problems were the long response time, mainly on WhatsApp. At times I felt my WhatsApp requests were read and ignored, to be answered days later. And although they announce that we have one, I don't remember any class available on the legal way to open a clinic.”

Hello, Leonardo, the response time for student messages on our WhatsApp channels follows a pattern, according to the number of requests that come in during the day, but we stress that all students are assisted.
As for the legal way to open a clinic, we have a tip for you: go to YouTube, specialized blogs and different social networks online to find a variety of content and tutorials about this whole process of opening an aesthetics clinic; in addition, the right professional to consult about this is an accountant.
Another tip we have is to ask your accountant to register an “aesthetics center with a health professional as technical manager (RT)”, which is the technical designation that avoids problems with the commercial registries and municipal health surveillance agencies. And throughout the postgraduate program, our professors and tutors always seek to guide and clear up questions about opening an aesthetics clinic, giving you a foundation for where to start your own business. Responding to student requests and demands
1. In April, the Information and Education Technology (T.I.E.) department made updates to the Study Portal, such as improved access for contacting tutors, text corrections, organization of activities on the portal and updated logos and icons. See below:
2. Nepuga's Academic Registrar's Office has made VIP Requests available in the Student Portal, where the postgraduate student pays a specific fee so that the requested petition is handled by the Registrar's team, which carries out the whole process the student would do in the free request. However, when choosing this option, the delivery time is longer. The self-service option for submitting requests free of charge is faster and more effective.
3. Since 04/11, practical activities are submitted by request through the Student Portal. The email [email protected] is about to be deactivated. The Academic Registrar's Office sent an email notice to all students about the change. The change is included in the Postgraduate Program regulations.
4. Since the beginning of April 2022, enrollment cancellation is done by request through the student portal and can no longer be done by email.
5. Keep an eye on hands-on class scheduling at the Nepuga campuses. See the schedule already set for the clinical immersions:
