Students' most recurring complaints and Nepuga's responses

Message from October 6, 2023, from Wiliane Cristina P. S., Class 485, Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Biomedicine, Taubaté – SP

“The attendant told me that clinical immersion grades take 45 business days to show up on the portal. I thought that was a very long time to post the grades.”

Team Collab Response

Wiliane, we understand your anxiety about your clinical immersion grade; after all, it's natural to want to know how you did. But don't hold on to that alone. Focus on what really matters: learning how to perform the procedures, refining your techniques, and making the most of every moment of the clinical immersion. After all, what good is knowing the theory if we can't put it into practice?

As for the period of up to 45 business days for posting grades, it was set to ensure organization and fairness among all students. We understand it may seem long, but it is important to maintain the integrity of our academic and administrative processes.

Remember that the most important thing is not just getting a high grade, but being competent and dedicated in what you do. Your commitment to pursuing excellent results throughout your academic journey is your real differentiator. That is exactly the attitude we expect from our students.

Keep dedicating yourself and seeking the best for yourself. We are here to support you on your journey.

Message from October 18, 2023, from Grazielly M. S., Class 584, Postgraduate Program in Aesthetic Health, Rio de Janeiro – RJ

“Terrible experience in the hands-on classes. I had already been told it was disorganized, but I didn't know it was this bad.

One professor to split between two classes. I only did a questionnaire and that was it. I wasn't even evaluated; I came in and left full of questions.

I ended up having to take the class for stage 1.3, which I wasn't even cleared for yet, when I had gone to do 1.1.

Anyway, I left super early because we couldn't even look each other in the face anymore.

After lunch, they put a professor there who didn't open her mouth, didn't say a word, didn't explain, didn't move, just stared at us so they could say we ‘weren't left alone.’

All the girls with no practice, injecting by themselves, with no explanation, having to figure it out, me too. Anyway, endless disorganization.

In the end, I filled out the form wrong on the website: I went to do 1.1 but selected 1.2 by mistake, and I ended up doing neither; I did 1.3, which hadn't even been taught yet, because it was what was available.

I tried to resolve it at the registrar's office, asked them to switch it so I wouldn't miss the hands-on class for 1.2, and they said they couldn't solve my problem, a simple thing.

But I can take into account the fact that I didn't learn anything, wasn't evaluated, and went to do something totally outside of what I learned. To finish, I ask for more organization and consideration for students, given that the amount we pay is quite high. The bare minimum is a decent class.”

We understand your concerns, Grazielly, and we would like to offer some reflections on the points you raised. First, we wonder what authority you have to challenge the competence of our professors, who are leaders in their fields. They have dedicated years of study and training to teaching. Your boldness in challenging that expertise is admirable.

Also, why did you wait so long to voice your concerns? It might have been more efficient to approach the professor during class to clear up your questions. We are sure you would have been helped right away.

If you are facing learning difficulties, know that we are here to help! The Psychopedagogical Support Center – NAP | Faculdade Fapuga | East Zone of São Paulo is available to offer guidance and support.

Despite the criticism, we are recognized as pioneers and leaders in our sector, responsible for training thousands of professionals specialized in aesthetics. Curious, don't you think, this apparent contradiction between the disorganization you mention and our prominent position?

It is interesting to note that many of our successful students do not take this kind of stance. They devote their time and energy to professional development, making the most of learning opportunities. It would be inspiring if you met them. That is why we would like to leave here the link to the stories of our outstanding postgraduate students: Success Stories – Nepuga News

As for the scheduling mistake, it is a truly peculiar situation. You scheduled the wrong stage and asked us to assign a grade to another stage, one you did not attend. We declined because a Higher Education Institution cannot assign a grade for something you did not take part in. Even so, we are being unfair.
